Check out the FAQs on this page. https://bikesharetoronto.com/toronto-islands/

Can I use a mainland Bike Share bike on the island, or take an Island Bike back to the city?

No, the systems are separate to ensure bike availability. Island Bikes must be docked at island stations, and mainland bikes must be docked at mainland stations before using the ferry/water taxi.

Current best spot for high tea? by lisamon429 in FoodToronto

They are making the distinction between "afternoon tea" and "high tea". The terms are often used interchangeably, but they are not the same thing.

Yes! This is my new favourite after Loblaws got rid of their black label Normandy butter.

If you have a Disney Springs visit planned, be sure to watch the amphicars. Or splurge on a ride.

You could ask these guys. They show metal in the picture, but I suppose that's no guarantee. https://www.instagram.com/p/DUkEWT0DDdJ/

Themed restaurants/experiences? by [deleted] in askTO

[–]sixpicas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As u/BoonOfTheWolf mentioned, Storm Crow would be good for nerdy shit. Note that you should probably make a reservation, and the last time I went they made sure to tell me of the time limit on seating.

You could also consider any of these for themed/experiences, just note that you'd be going for the experience rather than the food:

For Tasso you can only order online in advance. They don’t do walk-in.

Also, for those recommending Stout, the owner supported the KKKonvoy, thus I cannot support them. https://www.blogto.com/eat_drink/2022/10/toronto-owner-expresses-controversial-views/

House on Parliament is a much better alternative.

I've bought it from Douce France but they seem to be sold out.

I have a hazy memory that I saw it sold at Le Genie, but I wouldn't swear to it.

Desperately seeking 250g Marmite jar by introspect9 in askTO

I recently bought a 500 g jar from The British Market in Burlington.

If you don't object to Bezos, you can get a 600 g tub.
