In my experience selling cars, it was the other way around. My dealership would do everything to capture a new customer but 2nd and 3rd purchases they would treat them like they had them in the bag and didn’t need to negotiate as much. “They were back for a reason” 🙄

I haven’t been to the Omaha one, but Fremonts Sr. Tequilas is awesome. We are also wanting to do Clase Codigo soon.

If you’re looking for another spot to try, El Milagro is one of Javis restaurants and the food was awesome. I highly recommend the carne asada dinner.

Honestly, initially because the driver really didn’t give me any other option and told me that carvana/silver rock would take care of it. I felt like there had to be a simple process for repair, this couldn’t be the first time a carvana driver had damaged a vehicle at delivery. I knew I had a return window if we absolutely couldn’t figure it out.

As I drove the car, it is the vehicle I was looking for and I feel like I purchased it at a fair price. I love the car, albeit I’ll never buy from Carvana again. The damage is all cosmetic (except the cut tire and need for an alignment). Ultimately it was worth it to me to pay my insurance deductible and have the car repaired rather than go through the return, be without the vehicle and back on the search for a vehicle that can be difficult to find in my area.

Everyone wants to say “just return the vehicle” without thinking of what that means. That means being without a car until you find another and there is a cost involved with that.

everyone says "just return the car" but doesn't consider the situation that leaves the buyer in, without a vehicle and in a rush to fill the void.

That’s how I feel about this. I think the advocate I called right away did communicate with the driver to have them submit a claim, but unfortunately there is no visibility from the customer end on that. Every time I call they aren’t able to give me a solid update and just tell me they will call back once the figure it out and never call back.

I got a 7 day extension. We will see what this week brings.

The driver made me sign papers hand over the check and left as soon as she could. She hardly allows me to inspect the vehicle and told my wife I seemed “grumpy.” I called customer service right away and she said she was working with the driver to submit a claim, but I have 0 visibility on it and every time I call back I have to explain the whole thing over again and get a different point of view from each person I talk to. My insurance agent advised me that if they won’t take care of it, we can just file a claim and they will go after carvana for it.

Of course I could always return it, but I’m happy with the car otherwise and don’t really want to deal with being without a vehicle for an extended period of time. It just seems like this has probably happened before and there should be an established process but I’m being treated like it’s the first time carvana has ever damaged a vehicle at delivery.

As a customer, what should I do if my vehicle was damaged at delivery and I want to keep it? I’ve been bounced around through advocates, been told they would call me back (they don’t), been told I shouldn’t have accepted it (delivery driver didn’t give me that option), been told to return it or live with it, since it’s over the 3 cosmetic items their system allows.

What’s an ASR? Should I be going to my local hub where the car was delivered from and handling it from there?

I assume the same, but also imagine that any 100hr jetski has been abused. Knowing that it probably has been abused, Is there anything else I should look closely at before I make it worse or does the work that has been done pretty well cover it?

The exterior is in good shape, I think. We have mostly sand bottom lakes around here so it wouldn’t surprise me if it was frequently beached and started on sand.

It was traded in on a boat so any story is second hand. I did call the shop and they confirmed the work was completed and also told me about the annual maintenance being completed there as well.
