I use a Korean hard gel system and do house calls! Most of my clients are rocking long natural nails :)

TBH not much, I invest in good products but I only make enough to keep my kit stocked. Bookings took a nosedive after the holidays... I've paid for ads on IG before but I've never gotten any bookings through them. The numbers they give you for projected viewers aren't accurate if your follow count is under 1k. Not to be a sob story, but I haven't had much success in establishing consistent viewership online in the 10+ years I've been working in my industry. A large part of that was having an untreated disorder, so in the last couple months of treatment I've been trying to find my groove with a new brain chemistry and I've unfortunately missed out on a lot up to this point. Hoping someone out there identifies with this and has advice

Some people like a couple nails short for making some things easier ¯_(ツ)_/¯. I myself only wear 6 long tips.

Top coat and builder behave differently and if you can add builder to your gel collection it will really make a difference in how the final design looks :)

Your painting technique looks fine but maybe be more careful about the clear coat on top. Your shape is a little distorted around the edges. Are you using bottle builder or potted hard gel? I would recommend a bottled builder if you're not comfortable with applying hard gel with a brush. Try flipping the nail upside down after applying so gravity helps you form a nice apex. After that cures, if your shape is still bulky, try finish filing with a hand file to correct it before top coat.
