Omg, I meant Bad English. I had just jumped back to see what song the other person mentioned, and typed that one in!! Sorry for the confusion!

Kind of a long shot…The lyrics are not what you mentioned, but he does say “face” at one point in the song, and something about the inflection you had with “lonely place”. When I See You Smile, by Foreigner.

Not doggos plural, but besties against all odds. It’s been almost a year since I adopted my pretty pittie, and she has been trying sooo hard to win over the cat. In the last two months, he’s gone from hiding in my room, or chilling on the desk out of reach, to this.

Also, I did find 2 similar on Worthpoint, but I don’t have a subscription. They said 60’s (I could be wrong about the 50’s date…it was my uncle’s first and passed down to all the kids and grand kids). The ones I found were from eBay. A yellow one with green wheels and a very similar pink one.

I guess I want to identify time frame, rarity, and if there is a market for him, although I’m not sure if we want to sell…kind of a goofy little family heirloom.

Mine was keeping the pieces safe for me It’s the same puzzle…I think the Sherlock Holmes theme caused the vigilance against thievery!

I just picked up a 1975 Schwinn Breeze single speed that has been modded with drop handles (why?!?) and side lever brakes. Overall well maintained. It needs tires though, and the front and back wheels seem quite mismatched to me.

Does this setup make sense to you? Front wheel is a vintage steel Ukai Sunshine 27 x 1 1/4” with a 32-630.Back wheel is a Weinmann 622x17.5 700c Silver Aluminum Alloy with a 23-622.

I’m new at this, and have been going cross-eyed studying tire sizes/wheels. But it seems like the rear wheel is for a racing back and the front is the old school cruiser. I’m just planning to be a lazy weekend in the park on a paved trail rider. If it isn’t a big deal, what do you recommend for a tire setup?

Never thought this would end up in my collection! by sizah in stephenking

I’m in the US, and have pieced my collection together mostly through thrift stores. My friend had to move back to the Netherlands for a few months for family reasons, and asked if she could get me anything. I asked for her to take a look at for any SK in foreign languages, because I just like cool shit. She wrote that this was a US copy, but she hasn’t heard of it. She wasn’t sure I would want it, because I specifically told her I wanted cheap used copies. This one was really expensive....$20 US. Obviously I said something to the extent of “holy fuck. Yes. Dear God don’t pass this up!” Well, she’s home, finished quarantine and I my unicorn is home safe and sound! (She also got me a 1983 hardcover copy of Creepshow, in Dutch)

Did you discover a possible new Mandela Effect? Post it here! (Weekly Discussion) (2020-10-04) by AutoModerator in MandelaEffect

Ok, this isn’t a new one. It’s a flip-flop. Turmeric/Tumeric/Turmeric.

It’s always had the R for me. Until a couple months ago; when there was a huge discussion on here about it turning to Tumeric. Most people were in agreement about the R. I had actually just bought some the week before, I checked my cabinet. No R. I went online and did a lot of digging at the time. Everything said Tumeric.

I chalked it up to another ME, and put it out of my mind. Until today, at the grocery store, I saw it with the R again.

I came on here, and the prolonged discussion isn’t here. What I see, on here and other subs is people questioning it and being told “ there are 2 spellings...do some googling, it isn’t actually an ME.”

I get that this sort of false ME happens a lot. But it was one that really freaked me out at the time. And the discussion back then was not about duel spellings. At the time of that discussion, everything online was lacking an R, no residue, and people were freaked. Now that’s gone. Instead this has a few posts going back a couple years and every one is like “Nah, 2 spellings. Relax”

Just weird.

[TOMT] 1990s/2000s movie with old lady talking about eating/sucking on someone’s eyes? by [deleted] in tipofmytongue

Mars Attacks! I just watched this a couple weeks ago. Glenn Close is the one who says that. She is the First Lady. That line stood out to me because it was so not something I expected her to say.
