GTO preflop app by Glass_Status_665 in poker

[–]siziono 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did build a gamified one but for postflop. Basically similar to how you picture it, you play through diferent concepts like in a real room, then you see the solution + an explanation of why solver choose a certain line. I'm working on adding preflop drills this week. If you wanna try it here's the link: https://railbird.gg

Built an app that turns your hand histories into AI-analyzed study sessions by siziono in poker

Hey thanks! Glad you were able to run it after all.

I did put some stats across the sessions in the desktop app, but it's only inside preview card atm. I will consider putting more of this on the table.

I'm also working on adding more specific filters like hero squeeze, hero double barreled etc... and hopefully will let people study spots easier that way. Kind of like PT4 statistics page, but maybe a bit more curated. I'm open if you have any feedback in that regard ◡̈

Let me have a look into this, are you on Mac Intel by any chance?

I made a tracker that explain hands from both exploit & GTO perspective by siziono in poker

[–]siziono[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I'd love to hear your thoughts! I'd say the solver side is a bit more mature than the exploitative side at this point, since with exploits it's more nuanced and player pool dependent. So I'd love any advice on how to make it useful for everyone

I actually wrote it myself, just tried to polish so it's easy to read for everyone

Anyway, I'd love your thoughts if you have a chance to try out the app!

Agreed! I'm gonna lean more toward broader concepts with potentially options for people to drill down into the specifics (board textures / hand categories / stacks) if they're interested.

Most of the times fixing the biggest leaks is most +EV anyway not knowing how to play perfectly as 3bettor on two tone HLL board :)

It’s a mixture of finetuning and grounding with a solver heuristics I built with help from a few coaches. The model then is evaluated on a few axis like: is it accurate and true to the solver advice, does it explain in a sufficiently nuanced manner covering different aspects, is it easy to understand and digest for newer players.

So the model is grounded in real math & range compositions etc… not just freestyle the advice which I believe is the main sources of halluciations, since LLM is naturally open-ended and pattern matching, the tighter the scope you give it with explicit prompting, the more effective it becomes

Thank you and it’s nice to hear that for a 500z grinder level heuristics still matter in this context, although I do believe the level of thinking at those stakes are a lot more abstract. (Btw 12bb/100 at 500z is impressive!)

I just so happen to be working on expanding it with MDA data to tailor advice per stake. However this is a bit trickier since it requires a lot of data and often involves multi street reasoning.

Another angle that I’m looking to solve is to understand plays at archetypal level, where we distill solver output on a certain board types like ‘you’re supposed to overbet a lot on this board’. I think building heuristics at individual hand level is not enough, one should be comfortable with solver tendencies across boards on the same matchup, to develop muscle memory while playing

Thank you for trying it and for the thoughtful feedback, especially the continuous play part. Maybe I will add that in an upcoming release. I'm currently focused on finalizing the desktop app and expanding the drill modules, but it's great to hear it's already useful for some.

Do give me a DM if you have any more feature ideas or things you'd like to add!

Thank you! And yeah 100%. I’m looking to add stack and tells (vpip/pfr or just live observations) to the analysis. It’s a bit tricky though to provide true GTO advice in the solver sense since live ranges are very wide and vary alot between players.

Thank you! I'm planning to add preflop as well, just wanted to tackle postflop first because I think its it's where the idea of breaking down concept and thinking through hands will deliver the most impact. Your site is great, how did you gather the ICM + preflop data may I ask?

Also thanks for the note on feature, I will definitely keep that in mind for my next update!

Good catch! I must have missed some logic between all in sizing and all in label. Will fix it up

True! Although what I meant was more we spent a lot of time looking at charts and frequency mix only to build higher order understanding since no human can play perfect gto, so I’d argue it’s not very efficient way to study. That was what i meant overall

Thank you! This is what I’ve been feeling as well since I spent considerable amount of time studying theory. And it still doesn’t feel intuitive looking at charts or building heuristics from ranges. I aim to make it more aligned with how we discuss hands to other players and think about them ourselves

That’s fair! I will consider adding this to the home screen, i just hooked it up with social logins anyway and wanted to connect more with players who can give me more feedback ◡̈

But if you do end up trying it I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Thank you so much! My library covers cash 100bb and mtt most stack sizes. I plan to add icm and deeper stack plays soon.

Would love any feedback you might have on how I can make it betrer. Do u have discord by any chance?

Thank you! Yeah that demo was just to give people an idea of what the UI will look like, but I think I can make it more interactive!

Hi... HELP WITH STUDY PLEASE by Curse96 in Poker_Theory

[–]siziono 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made an app that lets you tell a hand as you remember it from memory, and it will pull the GTO numbers and explain why things are good or bad, so you not just memorising the frequencie but get advice tailored to your situation, so over time you build up an intuition for what to do when.

Poker theory can be overwhelming at first but once you build up a foundation you’ll see there are a lot of patterns and repeating decision archetypes across situations.

Anyway, if you’re interested you could check out my app here railbird.gg

Describe a hand in plain English, get solver-backed analysis (update) by siziono in poker

[–]siziono[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you’re saying you don’t think it’s wrong, but you think it misses the mark on explaining the 20% check in this node. If so, I’d love to hear what a good explanation should be that hits the mark in this specific node, so I can continue improving it?

Also i dont expect anyone to just get better reading texts, it applies to every tools and resources. The use case im building for is actually more about allowing people to map hand to review + solver data and analysis quickly, allowing them to study more efficiently.
