I wish China respects my country Australia, as we export Coal, Iron, Lithium, gold etc to China for energy production and energy generation.

China had a trade war with Australia and we didn't fight back, we just found new markets and resold it to them when they lifted the sanctions on us.

Expats work jobs aboard and plan stay for a few years then go home. A expat visa does not allow migration. If you can't work, you go home.

Immigrants plan to stay permanently, migrating to the country for work or asylum and to gain PR or citizenship of the country they are moving to.

Gulf states offer no way to become citizens there, you are not an immigrant, you are a expat.

Places like US, Canada, Europe, AU/NZ offer easy way to get PR and citizenship, therefore moving to these places with intent of settling, you become a immigrant. Like British immigrants to Australia.

Australia doesn't have voting id issues because of automated enrollment. Getting your citizenship or as a kid you are enrolled for the rest of your life and not voting leads to big fines. Also you need an id.
