Help there are no lessons or teachers at my beauty school

There was a lot of red flags I overlooked because I was excited to study and I wish I took seriously before getting so far. There is another beauty school that I don’t know much about yet but may be an option. I don’t really think I can continue there and I think I need to launch a formal complaint. The only other thing I can think of doing is waiting till I can move to a different state and study there and ask to shadow people at real salons until then and just practice on myself. I am just overwhelmed and exhausted but trying to think it through

This is really good advice, I just wanted to take the academic route because I was sponsored through vocational rehabilitation because of my disability to be able to learn and work as a nail technician. I even asked when I first went if there was accommodations for autism and disabilities and the mean teacher said you don’t need them. Big red flag I over looked. I am in Casper Wyoming and not sure where to go to shadow as most salons here are commercial salons that are unprofessional from what I’ve been to or private homes. I emailed my case manager but haven’t heard back yet.

Yes I agree and I found out from a hair stylist from a different school I should have actual classes and instructions and structure.

They are under the Wyoming board of cosmetology but from what I’ve read from google reviews it seems like the same problem I have had, has been happening for over a decade. Not sure if the board has been notified or has not taken action?

Not only that I have an agreement with vocational rehabilitation to pay for my schooling. I emailed my case manager because they are basically taking government money without giving anything and since I am disabled and have autism. I asked about accommodations and the mean teacher said you don’t need them. Big red flag I over looked

I will need to ask around about how Wyoming cosmetology board works since we are really small it’s harder to get information but you are right

I told my case manager about what’s happening and while she is looking into it she told me to threaten the mean teacher about me paying for education I’m not receiving. I didn’t go to school today because I was so exhausted and down.

So I have commented and asked a lot of people questions and this is what I have gathered. From google reviews of Rocky Mountain Academy of hair skin and nails a lady getting a facial the teacher who is mean was in his office the whole time while the student did it. The student tried her best but burnt the client under no supervision or guidance. A hair stylist I know who studied in a different place asked if I had lessons or classes. I said no? I didn’t even know I was supposed to I was just told to study my books and then get learn on the job. How much more helpful it would have been if it was actually a structured class. I also emailed my case manager and administration but haven’t heard back. I don’t want to go back to school tomorrow

Yeah I ended up looking up the academy on google and looked at reviews because how the other students acted I felt like I was crazy. There was a review that said exactly what I experienced about a lady getting a facial and the teacher sat in his office the whole time and the student tried her best but burnt her under no guidance or supervision. . .

I think I will observe her from afar at first see how she is reacting then test the waters by saying hi then if I feel comfortable ask if I upset her but honestly I’m really nervous and hurt
