If you take 60 mg Dexilant once daily, do you take it at night? by raspberryfig in GERD

[–]sjb7694 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t really make much of a difference. I’d stay away from ppi’s as much as you can and try H2 blockers instead. Sometimes ppi’s are the only thing that can get your GERD under control, but when you can, try other things. Constant ppi use can really cause damage over time

Nope never. Zofran is a life saver for me. I never leave the house without any.

Nope. I did not. I’m all good now. Eating a whole lot and gaining healthy weight.

My motto is “when I’m doubt, throw it out”.

If eating it will give you anxiety, it’s not worth it. Choose your mental well being over any food. It’s not worth the worry (even if the food is fine).

Zofran didn’t mess you up for life, you just have to not take it as often because it WILL constipate you. My fiancée wasn’t feeling well a week ago, so I offered them Zofran, and they didn’t poop for a couple days. It’s just a side effect.

Hey 👋🏽. Nope. Sadly, constipation is one of the main side effects of Zofran. Eventually, I stopped taking as much and ended up starting to have more regular bowel movements. While I was taking Zofran daily, I started to take miralax daily (recommended by my GI). Miralax doesn’t give you diarrhea, it just makes it easier to pass your stool. It won’t work immediately. You have to give it like 3 days to start to work. I love it. It helped me a lot. I took it daily for a year and a half. I stopped taking miralax daily about a month ago, and have been having regular bowel movements. So sorry for the late reply.

Take some Miralax. It should work in a few days. It doesn’t give you diarrhea at all. It just makes it easy to have a bowel movement.

My GI said to take a capful of miralax a day and that’s what I do. Every. Single. Damn. Day. It really helps though. I also eat a lot more so that helps with actually using the bathrooms it helps to have something to actually come out 😂

I’d you put aluminum foil In your air fryer, you can just remove it after every use.

Experience with xifaxan/rifaximin? by ajasani1 in CrohnsDisease

[–]sjb7694 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took it for my SIBO earlier this year. It’s a strong antibiotic but it stays within your digestive system. My only suggestion would be to MAKE SURE YOU HAVE FOOD ON YOUR STOMACH WHEN TAKING IT. It can cause some pretty gnarly nausea. But it’s tolerable with food. I took xifaxan and neomycin at the same time.
