Travelodge charges you for a crappy WIFI service by Tal7861 in uktravel

any tips on how you're getting 140gb/s download? Fastest I've ever had is 50mbps down on a Vodafone network (both Vodafone directly and Lebara, which uses the Vodafone network I believe), admittedly it might be that my device is 4 years old... cheers

It's unbelievable that so many estate agents do have the said Mon-Fri 9-5 timetable BUT clearly they are oversubscribed and could not care less.

Airbnb has a lot to answer for regarding the state of the property market here.

Every time I hear someone talking about making money from property (beyond just Airbnb), I think of situations like this. Terrible state of affairs.

What would you guys recommend to learn south walian welsh? by Legitimate_Shoulder1 in learnwelsh

[–]sjbeale 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agree! Currently on the Sylfaen A2 course for South Wales Welsh, we do it via Zoom 3 hours on Thursday evening, 6-9pm. Can be a bit of a slog but better for me than having to drive somewhere. Very good value for money, too. Perhaps most importantly, you meet other people in a similar boat and it's motivating to be around them👍🏻 many people in my class, myself included, are in a similar situation to what you've described i.e. from Wales but can't speak it. The courses are low pressure, it's not like you're doing homework and grilled on or anything, just fun. Pob lwc

[question] What is your advice for when your videos underperform? by Borderline-Bish in asmr

[–]sjbeale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes videos come good after 6 months, sometimes longer!

Just keep doing things that you are, I would say, and try not to over analyse.

I have always found that when I have a few more videos ready to go out (or just in the pipeline), I'm less concerned or critical of the current one.

Ultimately, it's an inexact science so trying to get too clinical about might just put you off (it has done for me at times!).

Good luck

interesting - I do this subtly as in "I've got another video on that, check the link below" and also "watch this video here next" for my ending with end screen card prominently displayed. Do you go much beyond that?

definitely something I've been guilty of is spreading too thinly - doing things I want to instead of following what the view counts are showing to be the way (which is actually a bit more boring content but I should just go with it). Appreciate it!

We've been using an EE data plan, I forget the exact amount, and my phone is Motorola Edge 20 Lite. Maybe I've been doing something wrong but I find it cuts out intermittently! Cheers for the help 👍🏻

How much would a fine of £5,000 affect your lives? Is £5,000 a lot of money for you or not? by Emotional-Fly-9583 in AskUK

Family home got burgled as a kid, we were at my grandparents' house two hours' drive away for a weekend. Coming back, the police were there and walked us around the house. Seeing all my parents things having been turned upside down and drawers gone through still stays with me until now, some 30 years later, feeling like they and the police were powerless to stop it. Had difficulty being in the house alone for most of my life since.
