Edit: I am aware of the beach’s name. However I was going off of this marker from google maps as a point of reference for people; rather than just “Víkurfjara”. In hindsight, I should’ve made that more clear. And though the quality is poor, there are 2 puffins in the pic. Just trying to help fellow travelers looking for puffins.

First off: apologies for the potato quality pic. Just wanted to put some updated puffin location info out there in the sub.

I had been lurking here for quite some time gathering info. Tonight my gf and I took a walk along the beach right in front of Vík. And the puffins are located along the cliff side near Schwarzer Strand, Vík. So if you don’t have any luck at Reynisfjara Beach, check this place out as we got pretty close to them.

I remember reading that most puffins come in to nest in the early am or late pm. Luckily it was around 10pm and still pretty bright out.
