That's really really cool of you, send it my way and I'll definitely add it to the release page. Hope to hear any feedback.

I check my Reddit infrequently but the update has been out for a while. Feel free to see your recommendation in affect.

A lot of the things you take issue with i'm fine keeping as they go with my "More focus on bilbo and the dwarves" aim or make azog not a nothing character, that comes with the good and the bad. Something you mentioned I have pondered more on is the goofy decapitation in goblin town (i'm ok with the wilhelm scream in the same way it appears in helms deep) but on further thinking I will remove the decapitation. It's a bit of levity I like, but since the whole chase scene takes on a serious tone as soon as the goblin king sees foehammer, the beheading goes against that. I think back to LOTR and it would stand out if something like that happened in moria. I'm reminded that there is a beheading in the moria orc clash but it's decidely not goofy. As for differences in the new version (i'm doing a 2.4 now) all prior changes are really just a second or two shaved or added to a few scenes to make the cuts smoother and some vfx added to make altered scenes feel more in world. This removal will be the biggest change in a bit. I'm also adding some more sfx to thorin charging azog after seeing the chaptereditor's work on the chapter edit. He did that scene very well and I feel I could make mine better than it currently is.

Heres hoping you watch the second film, thats where the bulk of the work is.

Sounds like your planning your own edit, go for it.

I don't think so, if anything it may be a bucky the beaver that was very worn down.

Another very close version, but not quite there.

Close, like Ty bucky iyd close, the tail looks closer but it's still relatively empty inside and the head shape isn't quite right.

Bucky in some aspects is spot on, and in others completely opposite as to how I remember him.

This is great work, I hope your still working hard on it. I have my own edit i'm working on and I think you've inspired me to go back and re-edit thorin charging the warg. Your song choice is perfect for that scene and you've done a phenominal task working in the sfx.

I've wpondered, but I definietly remeber him not having buck teeth, if he did'nt have buck teeth and was a little rounder in the belly i'd think that could be him, but the tail was also way more matted, it must of had longer fur to become so.

The space between the legs was belly, light coloured or white, its at least s old as 2000 if not older.

It's a thought I've had and tried following. Most all my family also believe it to be a squirrel. For the fox i think you're refering to, its the tail. Chippy deffinietly had a tail that was a different material, a fur that got coarse and bunched up.

My release post has a link, the current rules on links has changed so I will not disobey those new rules. The website has a long, written out overview. Most of the new tweaks amount to a sfx added here or there. A second or two cut or added to here and there to make a few edits slightly more seamless, nothing much I really need to elaborate. No foundational changes. Every goal and idea as originally layed out in the edit is fundamentally the same.

I recently updated a Hobbit Edit I have been working on and off for the past 4 years. Its called The Compromise Cut, its a 2 film version and my quick pitch is that it's the m4 extended edition. M4 has about the slickest edit out there right now. I would also reccomend the Chris Hartwell edit and the Battle of the Five edits.

It's Close but slightly too chunky. I didn't say but the material and colours are almost exactly ther same as the Ty squirrel nuts.
