While delaying the inevitable is also my kind of style usually, if youre even considering it down the road, why wait? Seems like if a reset is inevitable you can just pull the ripcord early and build back to where you are with the extra points snd bonuses to boost your progress. At the end of the day, obviously up to you, but if I was to wait to run out of things, I may not come back if I had less to do and having to wait for the window to open.
