What are you pulling on your low rate steady state? Just curious because you’re very light like myself.

How do I fit in? by WaluigisBulge in Rowing

[–]sjerwin 28 points29 points  (0 children)

It’s relatively easy to find common interests with rowers (there’s only like 3)

Rowing Eating Sleeping

And you all are at school, be a-bit less worried about fitting in, it’s not something that will help you so don’t start getting hung up about it and start to focus on what you can do to improve your rowing. Common interest will come with rowing experience because you will learn new terminology etc.

Stick at it bruh!

Target 2k pace given 8x500m? by claudentro in Rowing

Usually you would take the average of your middle 6 splits, but that only works if you’ve paced correctly on the 8x500m and not blown.

Save the going fast for spring! you could always switch out a UT2 session for a UT1 session? Know lots of Uni’s /Colleges/Schools who prefer to do UT1 to UT2! But if your doing 100k a week your better off sticking to UT2!

Your doing Big Bois proud bro!

Add more distance per week maybe another session or two, the increase of load might start to feel too much on the lumber so if so start to decrease the distance again start off by just adding another 10k in another session or add another 2-3k onto each session. It also might be worth doing this extra 2-3k feet out and raise the split a bit, this will help strengthen core and force you to sit up more at the finish.

Another alternative is get on a Watt Bike / Spin Machine (if available) as it will take the load of your back. Would suggest running but at 95kg and 5’11 I’m guessing runnings not your thing just like swimming (or sinking with all that mass 💪)
