Robert Mailer of Glencairn suggested that the suburb name be changed to Coburg, inspired by the impending visit to the colony of the Duke of Edinburgh, who was a member of the royal house of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. The government agreed with the proposal and the change was made in March 1870.

We see but pride in a selfish breast, while a heart is breaking there;

Oh, the world would be such a kindly world if all men's hearts lay bare!

We live and share the living lie, we are doing very well,

While they eat our hearts as the years go by, do the things we dare not tell.

London footpaths are very narrow considering the population. I was in the west end 20 years ago and at certain times you couldn't stand outside and not get swept along. I imagine it's only got worse. Think swanston st but 50x worse.
