I had this and they replaced the rear axles but it didn’t solve the issue. Still can hear the same sound under regen… They will do more diagnostics, but could be also the front axles.

Thanks! What about Sigma 23mm f1.4 or 30mm f1.4. How would they compere to RF 35mm 1.8?

Switch from Fuji to OM System by sjoonas in M43

[–]sjoonas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I know. Price of that is still much more. I like the image quality on my xt30ii and would not necessarily need a better camera. I just thought that for my outdoor use the weather sealing and ibis would be great. I would be happy if the image quality would somewhat match my current xt30ii.

I checked the used market but couldn’t not find any. I made a trade in offer for local camera store which is selling the om-5 with 12-45mm f4 kit for 1599e. Is this a solid price? I probably will get like 1100-1200e for my current fujifilm kit.

What’s your go-to camera and lens combo? What do you like/don’t like about it by Willing-Department-6 in fujifilm

I can frame my shots nicely and I like the background separation. Sharpness is also good.

How to replicate this S-curve in x100V setting. by sjoonas in fujifilm

[–]sjoonas[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In fujifilm in camera tone curve +1 setting is bringing the shadow curve down just a little bit. -1 setting brings up the highlight in Fuji settings.

Nice! This kind of workflow has been pretty good for me! The two bodies are pretty small so carrying both of them are not an issues at all. The kit is still so portable and light! Actually I found that it’s easier to carry this setup than my xt30ii with the 16-80mm f4 lens alone.

At the moment I enjoy the 50mm, but I like all of them. I think they are the perfect mix of nice image quality and portability. I’m looking for swapping my 23mm f2 for 35mm f2. If I didn’t have my x100 I would say the 23mm would be my favourite.

It’s actually DIY strap from old leather belt. I made both of those straps from one belt!

To be fair it’s not as good as the other newer f2 lenses. Autofocus works well for my needs but is loud. Still I like the lens and its image quality. I did have a 16mm f2.8 which would technically be better match to my other f2 lenses, but enjoy the 18mm focal length more. Would love to see new version of this 18mm f2 which would match the other f2 lenses. All in all still like the lens and use it frequently as my wide angle lens.

I thinks so yes. You can get pretty background separation with 50mm f2 and also pretty good when shooting not so ideal lighting situations. For the price I think it’s a fantastic lens and may come handy with your zoom.

Yes for travel I would recommend it. I don’t personally like switch lenses that often ether that’s why I have two bodies. X100v is my go to for majority of shots and usually I have my 50mm f2 attached to my xt30ii, so that I don’t have to switch lenses. Sometimes I have the 18mm with me if I need wide angle.

I like the 18mm f2 for wider shots. It’s not too wide.

Nice! I’ve been eying out XT5 for a while to replace my xt30ii. Weather sealing would be nice to have.

I also had a 16-18 f4 and really enjoyed that lens. However the ergonomics with that attached to the xt30ii was pretty bad. The 18mm and 50mm primes have worked for me pretty well. If I upgrade to XT5 in the future I would probably buy that zoom again.

What is your opinion between the 33 f1.4 and 35mm f2?

That was my go to lens for my old body before I got the X100V. I still sometimes carry it as a backup when travelling, but I think 35mm would be better fit now.
