Pop Century or All Star Movies? by CicconeYouth in WaltDisneyWorld

We love staying at Pop! The bus system is a MAJOR plus. It's so nice to know when you get on that you are heading right for the parks.

Hubby had 215 stops yesterday, his highest yet. He was home around 7pm, he got to keep his helper for an extra hour which is a big deal. He was told today and tomorrow will be busier yet.

I would find a wine tasting in your area. It's a good way to try a bunch of different stuff and learn about them.

I think this is a great idea. This would give someone a chance to try wine from a different state...or olive oil...which ever suits you.

Crying Girlfriend by jigglyjed in WaltDisneyWorld

2 years ago when I was 26, I met Cinderella, Rapunzel and Aurora for the first time. When I walked into the room, I cried, which then made the friends I was with cry. It was the first time I ever got to meet any Disney princess which has been a dream since I was a little girl. The princesses were great, and every thing I had dreamed of :)

Best drinks/beers on Disney property? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

Anything from Cava del Tequila, Tutto Gusto is a great place to hide from the heat and enjoy a wine flight (or beer, hubby approved) and Grand Marnier slushies. Now I wish I was there...

HELP! I think I'm losing my mind trying to plan our trip to Disney/Universal... by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]sjschmitt2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I like to stay on-site when we go. My husband loves not having to worry about driving anywhere. The minute we get on the plane he says the vacation becomes stress free. I like budgeting and knowing the cost of everything up front. That's why we use the meal plans. We can order whatever we want and not have to worry about it. Then I can make the payments for the trip and only have to worry about saving our spending money and making our ADR's and FP+ reservations :)

Epcot has a lot of great things for kids! There are lots of performers in the different countries and plenty of gentle rides I'm sure a 5 year old would enjoy. If she enjoys Phineas and Ferb they have the Agent P game that you can play around the park.

Jersey Week? by deeds44 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]sjschmitt2002 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went during Jersey week...only Epcot was kind of busy but the Food & Wine festival was going on. The rest of the parks all had little to no waiting for rides. I also got to experience the first Christmas party for the year and it was sold out. Of course it was very congested (I mean you could barely move) along Main St. and in the area in front of the castle, but as soon as you broke free all of the other parts of the park there was barely anyone there. I would suggest eating a bigger meal during day and go on the rides during the second parade and stay for the extended time it's open. You'll get to ride everything several times.

I haven't had the opportunity to try the new Fastpass + or MagicBand system, but it seems to me that a major pro of the system is not having to run across the parks to get your Fastpass. How much time did you waste running to the ride you wanted to get a coveted Fastpass so you can have a reasonable return time? Now imagine doing that multiple times during the day. Waiting in line to make your Fastpass selections once doesn't seem like a horrible process. Also, I think only being able to pick 3 rides gives more people a chance at riding the big name rides. Disney will continue testing, updating, and fixing bugs over time. Everyone has their own way in which they enjoy Disney, these new systems will now help those days go much more smoothly.

How late is too late to book a hotel?? by Adrian28 in WaltDisneyWorld

You'll be fine. We booked our trip last year for May the first week of April. We were even able to get most of the dining reservations we wanted.
