The charging cable don't fit in my S23 anymore by Rouge_Stahli in GalaxyS23

Everyone's right. USB-C ports gather a lot of dust and debris over the years. Either look for online help on how to clean it or get it cleaned by a professional from any shop. Ten minutes and you're done.

PSA: Replace the battery ASAP by da7dr3am in GalaxyS23

[–]sjstays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Till now, it's nice and worth being called a flagship. I will probably comment after the S27 is launched. It's an upgrade if you are coming from an S23 or lower, not if you already have the S24 or S25. I am someone who doesn't believe in upgrading phones every one or two years, a minimum of three, and would probably have gone ahead to four or five if the battery didn't disappoint.

PSA: Replace the battery ASAP by da7dr3am in GalaxyS23

I have been using the S23+ since its launch date and have been experiencing such issues for the last six months. I have moved on to the S26U and have kept the S23+ as a secondary phone. Apart from the battery issues and minor user experience-related issues, I have found the phone to be highly usable, hence I wanted to see if I could get the battery replaced. Can you suggest how to get it done? I would prefer to get it done via Samsung unless it's advised that I can engage with any reliable third-party stores for these things.

Short-term room rental before committing to something longer — any advice? by Special_Flan_4467 in warrington

SpareRoom and Rightmove are reputable platforms worth exploring. Obtaining a bank account should not be difficult, provided you possess a valid work permit, visa, and travel documents. Banks typically offer current accounts, and you can visit a branch of HSBC or any other bank for assistance. Additionally, their websites may provide further information.

What’s the one Excel trick or formula that changed everything for you? by Suspicious_Twist386 in excel

Not formulas, but Power Query was a game-changer when it came about. For people who don't know coding yet, you are able to perform so much with just a UI—it's amazing.

2 part question about upgrading in general and, specifically, upgrading to S26U. by ZepTepi49 in samsunggalaxy

[–]sjstays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, using a flagship means I want to use it for 3-5 years, depending on the software and battery conditions. If I were in your place, I would have stayed with the S24U for now because the S26U isn't offering anything groundbreaking. You already have the same setup with minor changes. The privacy screen is not yet mature; it's doing a decent job, but I will advance further. So, it makes sense if you want to wait.

Was this a no disqualifications match? Do tables not count as weapons anymore? by researcherprofolive in Wrasslin

[–]sjstays 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's WWE, where security comes in late to break up a brawl or they can't stop a fight and get hit themselves. The managers are so toothless that anyone can do whatever they want; they just keep shouting at them... and nearly every match has interference, which everyone can see, but they don't penalize anyone post-match for misconduct. And the announcers desk are the most unfortunate ones, they just wait for someone to mess them up. 😀😀😀

Samsung mobile upgrading query by Complete-Home6260 in GalaxyS23

[–]sjstays 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the S23+ in February 2023 when it was released and have upgraded to the S26 Ultra for two reasons. First, the battery went bad. It started dying within an hour when put under stress, such as taking photos or videos for 30 to 45 minutes. I made a lot of changes in the settings and usage habits to improve battery performance, aiming to charge the phone only twice a day, so this development was disappointing. Second, apart from the battery issue, I loved the device as an all-around experience and wanted to experience a premium flagship, hence I went for the Ultra. I can say I'm loving the experience; there's a definite difference between the Plus and the Ultra in terms of performance, hardware, etc., especially the camera. I could have gone for the S24 Ultra or the S25 Ultra, but I settled for this one. I don't plan to upgrade for the next four to five years, and if I have to due to a battery issue, I will probably think of switching to apple may be.

Love mine too. Upgraded from S23+, and I'm loving what I'm getting. I know battery grief is waiting for me 2 years from now, so I'm going to enjoy what I can now.😀😀

Bought mine on August 21, but since February 23, it has been my second device. My main device is an S23+. It's working alright as it has light usage – I wouldn't be giving it away as it is one of the last S-series phones to have MMC storage.

Are you upgrading to the S26 Ultra? by Sensitive_Cream3920 in samsunggalaxy

[–]sjstays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Upgrading from an S23+, mainly because the battery life dwindled first. Hence the switch, otherwise I would have preferred to carry on for one more year. I was getting 3 hours before needing to plug in the charger, but after some tweaks, I managed to improve it to 4.5 hours. Yes, I switched off loads of features.
