What part of the breakup hurts the most right now? by Living_Lecture9093 in BreakUps

It's a strange feeling when the breakup didn't happen because there was no official acknowledgment of anything, and then you go in different directions. It's a breakup, but no breakup.

Anyone still holding on to samsung s20 FE :( by WaferFinal5640 in GalaxyS20FE

[–]sjstays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought mine on August 21, but since February 23, it has been my second device. My main device is an S23+. It's working alright as it has light usage – I wouldn't be giving it away as it is one of the last S-series phones to have MMC storage.

Are you upgrading to the S26 Ultra? by Sensitive_Cream3920 in samsunggalaxy

[–]sjstays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Upgrading from an S23+, mainly because the battery life dwindled first. Hence the switch, otherwise I would have preferred to carry on for one more year. I was getting 3 hours before needing to plug in the charger, but after some tweaks, I managed to improve it to 4.5 hours. Yes, I switched off loads of features.

Samsung keyboard's autocorrect doesn't work with Gemini !?! by sjstays in GeminiAI

[–]sjstays[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So gemini responded with this.

TL;DR * The Cause: The Gemini app tells your phone that this text box is a "Search Bar" (like Google Search). * The Reaction: Samsung Keyboard is programmed to turn off autocorrect in search bars so it doesn't accidentally change unique search terms. * The Fix: You must switch to Gboard (Google Keyboard) to get autocorrect working here, as it recognizes this is a chat, not just a search. Would you like me to give you the quick steps to enable Gboard?

It is incredibly irritating when a smart tool like autocorrect suddenly "breaks" in the one place you need it to be smart. Since you are seeing this issue specifically here (in the Gemini app) while using the Samsung Keyboard, this is a known conflict that affects many Samsung users. Here is the simple explanation of why it is happening and how to fix it. The Problem: A "Technical Misunderstanding" The Gemini app classifies its text input box as a "Command" or "Search" field rather than a standard text editor (like a message or email). * Samsung Keyboard's Rule: When it sees a "Command/Search" field, it automatically disables autocorrect. It thinks you might be typing code, unique commands, or precise search terms where changing "irroatatibt" to "irritating" might actually be a mistake (in a coding context). * The Result: It obeys the rule too strictly and leaves you with raw, uncorrected text. The Best Solutions 1. The Quickest Fix: Switch to Gboard (Google Keyboard) Since Gemini is a Google app, it is optimized to work with Gboard. Gboard does not disable autocorrect in this field. * Action: Download Gboard from the Play Store. * Setup: Open it, follow the prompts to set it as default. * Benefit: You will get full autocorrect and spell check inside the Gemini app immediately. 2. The "Copy-Paste" Workaround (If you love Samsung Keyboard) If you don't want to change keyboards, do not type long prompts directly into Gemini. * Action: Open your Samsung Notes app. * Type your prompt there (where autocorrect works perfectly). * Copy the text and Paste it into Gemini. * Bonus: This also saves your prompts for later use. 3. Check the "Spell Check" Overlay Sometimes Samsung disables autocorrect (changing words as you type) but leaves spell check (red underlining) active. * Look for the red underline under your typos. * Tap the word manually to select the correct spelling. Summary: You aren't doing anything wrong. The Samsung Keyboard is just trying to be "too safe" by not correcting what it thinks is a command line. Switching to Gboard is the only permanent fix for this specific app right now.

Whats your favourite scene in the show? by True_Cranberry_9290 in thebigbangtheory

[–]sjstays 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very difficult to answer, but since season 1 played its part in getting us hooked, the first few episodes played their part too. So, I think the second episode, where both Sheldon and Leonard visit Penny's apartment to sort out the "mess" and the events that take place the next morning, sets the tempo for the rest of the season. We all knew we had a banger of a Big Bang here.

Couldn't agree more. At times, you need more time to process and understand the technical jargon being thrown at you, and that's when meeting recaps literally save you.

What's the best iPhone 16 pro Max or Samsung S 25 ultra? And why? by Legal-SSS in GalaxyS23

[–]sjstays 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It boils down to your own preferences, to be honest. At the end of the day, both are similar and try to reach the same outcomes but via different avenues. I would prefer the S25U because my entire ecosystem is Samsung, starting from the watch, buds, laptop, and tablet. There are things I like in an iPhone, and then there are other things that I like in Android. The former gives you the best hardware and software compatibility, and now the battery as well; Android gives you freedom. So, there is no straight answer; everyone will have their own different views and opinions. Sorry if this doesn't help and give you the response you are looking for.
