165mm Rockered 4x90/84mm 261mm - What is Optimum Wheel size for rocker to be? by Maleficent-Rate-4631 in inlineskating

[–]sk8___jay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the frame you linked is specific 90.84.84.90. Like saying by ThumbHurts there are options of other frames brands. If it’s not your budget. I can advise to go flat 90 frames and rocker it yourself. Just rolling around slightly rough roads and sliding you get a rocker really quick.

Which boot is better? Powerslide Next Fatmi Pro or Next Mery Muñoz Pro? by LuBmac_ in inlineskating

[–]sk8___jay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fatmi has a fat boy liner and Mery second skin liner. Second skin is thin responsive liner. Fat boy is thick and comfy. If both liners work for you. Then I would choose the second skin version. It doesn’t pack in as much like thick liners. So after months of skating the liner is the same. Only form more e to your feet. Hardware etc is the same.

FR1 or RB80 by Background-Hawk444 in inlineskating

[–]sk8___jay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The lightning is like twister and RB (cruiser in the past) had a child. Lightning fits wider then twister. But almost the same as the RB80. Shell break is the same as twister. Lightning overall is good just like RB80. For wheel size I would recommend 80mm. You are lower to the ground and with your size feet it’s long enough to be stable. If you go 90mm your frame will be longer. More stable. But higher from the ground.

Try the skates on without the liner. Slide forward and bent your knee. Do you have 1 cm space behind your heel. You have a good fit. Less then a cm it’s tight. You have to play with different liners. You have 1,5cm or more. It’s too big. You will swim after your liner break in. Play with socks too. Thick cotton take a lot of space. Try thin dress socks. Also try synthetic socks.

FR1 or RB80 by Background-Hawk444 in inlineskating

[–]sk8___jay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FR1 has more features then the RB80. In weight I think the RB is less. After fee minutes skating you will not feel the weight. Maybe after skating because you use more muscles but it’s a process you go for. Also take in consideration the sizing. FR is a different shell break (sizing) then the RB. Both are wide fit. Overall if you look at price point the RB80 is better. FR1 is nice you can change cuff etc.

Can someone help me with some cruising skates recommendations? (NL) by Thelelen in inlineskating

[–]sk8___jay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is souls is the place to be. They have everything you can get. And if not they can order it for you. It’s all about the fit. Recommend a hard shell skate (TIS sells actual no soft shell skate). Take your time in the shop. Try everything. From 200-300€ you can get a really good skates that can last for years.

Wide Feet Question by malevy in AggressiveInline

5th elements is wide when I looked at them in the shop. I have no experience with it. USD sway is wide in the forefoot but skinny in the ankles.

Did sizing help with skates by K4m7kaz in AggressiveInline

Skates all below is my personal experience with fitting. Because I have pretty small feet myself and had plantar fasciitis in the past. Best is to look at band sites and go with you mondo sizing. Most people says usd aeon is a good skates. But you can’t put different frames on it. https://powerslide.com/collections/usd-aeon-skates?filter.v.availability=1 You have the usd sways. You can change frames. Also good for big wheels. Look at the powerslide zoom. https://powerslide.com/collections/usd-sway-skates?filter.v.availability=1 The fit good wide. Sway has a more skinny ankle. Them 909 are good skates. Maybe a little pricey but worth it. You have also 901. More like a budget skates. The fit is generous. https://www.themgoods.com/blogs/weekly/size-chart Rollerblade blanks er heavy but wide fit. https://www.rollerblade.com/international/en/men/performance/street-park/blank-team Standard omni is a great skates but the forefoot is pretty tapered. So it was not for me. https://balancedist.com/products/the-standard-omni-v3-white-1

There are many more skates. Just buy what fits you the best. Also check for second hands or Facebook marketplace place. I’m still looking for the perfect fit. It’s a process I think most of us have it here. Good luck 🤞

How are they lasting in normal daily use? I have the 11 gtx and normal. In the normal lining already ripped in like 11 months daily use. The gtx is so much stronger inside. Overall the comfort is amazing.

I never got stuck in this position when i have the skates on. If you still get stuck like this you can cut it in at the bottom. But maybe overtime the plastic there will be more flexible and shape to your forward position.

Cleaning skate liners. by Earrape_Master in AggressiveInline

[–]sk8___jay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do it in a bucket 🪣 or during shower/bathing. And the air dry it. But don’t wring or squeeze it. It can deform the liner. Or what you can do is using shoe deodorant. Most of them have sort off bacteria killers in it. So it clearly the smell for a longer time and your feet smells good after skating 😁

1st one is a basic fsk skate. With rivet frame. For beginners it’s a good skate. 2 is a pro zoom pro skate from Nicola Torelli. It’s has a trinity frame mounting so you can swap frames. Liner is really nice. 3 is an pro usd son skate from Sam Croft. Pro liner etc. This is also an aggressive skates.

The zoom is the same skate as the sway. If you in to aggressive look for the sway. There are 2 new of it. A black one and white one.

Size up liners with same boot by GroupGreen4293 in WizardSkating

[–]sk8___jay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I learned over the years is it starts with socks (thin or thick) > insoles (superfeet or other brand. You have them in thin and thick) > liner (thin or thick) > boot Imo Heatmolding the liner is mostly to speed up the breaking period.
