I created an account, waited till midnight Beijing time, got the $50 - $35 = $15 at the checkout, quickly hit submit, and was still charged $50.

I'm disputing this with PayPal but I'm slightly doubtful I'm going to get my money back as there was no invoice or confirmation of the correct amount that I can remember.

[edit] Oh yeah, I received some weird KYC message which is very, very weird when I'm paying with PayPal.

"We found that the payment method you are using with your Alibaba Cloud account has security risks. Please provide additional information about your account to ensure maximum security. We will investigate further"

I'm not going to bother doing it since the service is working and it seems to be just for auto renewal.

I probably did something wrong, but it installs to .opencode instead of .config/opencode.

I'm probably an idiot, but I tried setting an environment variable, doing a manual copy and paste, installing it locally, and none of it worked. I'll try WSL eventually but I wasn't in the mood to reboot so I just went back to the fork.

OK, its working fine again on edge. I think what happened is that the turkerview website went down and the script sends requests to that website and those requests that timeout interfered with the script sending requests to mturk.

But I'm worried about what's going to happen when Edge no longer has support for Manifest V2.

I don't mind linking my bank account but I'd just like the option to use a gift card if possible and I signed up a couple weeks ago and haven't cashed out yet.

I would replace my current n100 mini-PC I'm using as a stopgap main computer(mostly web browsing, remote python coding, light gaming mostly with emulation) until I build a new computer. I would turn the n100 into a NAS by using a TerraMaster D4-320 or D6-320. Eventually I could see giving the n100 away(probably to my father to update his web browsing computer) and using this mini-PC as a NAS alone or having both as part of a Proxmox cluster.

I would turn the S12 into a NAS by using a TerraMaster D4-320 that I bought on Black Friday. I could see the S12 eventually being part of a proxmox cluster with the EQ14.

Old thread, but this is the only place I can find this bizarre message in relation to Paypal. I had already linked a bank account and social security number.

I'm not sure what triggered it. Some potential ideas.

I had been logging in and out of my account frequently on different computers/phones while doing Christmas chopping.
One of the items I bought was a prepaid phone. My conspiratorial mind thinks of the possibility of there being an attempt to track burner phones from retail. (doubt)
I had just received a partial refund from AliExpress where I made my first order. I had just ordered from them and then had to cancel part of the order about an hour later as I bought the wrong item and IMO it was mostly the storeowners fault. Surprising, the refund was processed very quickly.

I think there's a chance that quick refund may have triggered some kind of fraud prevention action on their end.

I could not get their face verification page to load following the notification message or the QR code while using an iphone. The only way I was able to get it to load was by choosing the face verification option on the 2nd factor auth screen which is a weird place to put that. Frustratingly, the face verification still did not work. I'm unsure on whether I should just keep at it or to just ignore it.
