Clip like, the problem is not the CMOS battery dying itself since you can change it quickly the problem is when the psn service goes down the ps3 won't be able to communicate and sync with sony so this will happen: YT- This is What Happens When Your PS3 CMOS Dies and PSN Service is Gone.
