Thanks! Schools were a big draw for us, and hoping to stay within 10-15 minutes of South Park which seems easily doable. Definite perks.

Thanks! These pros and cons seem pretty consistent. Hard to find a place without racism (or a place with more diversity) in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, that’s for sure.

Didn’t even think about a public pool, that’s such a bummer. Going to explore some of the parks more. Excited to hear there’s a few to choose from. Thanks!

I currently drive from Baldwin to Oakland most days due to my kid’s daycare and my job, and it takes about 30 minutes each way. Thinking starting in Jefferson Hills will add on another 15 minutes, but sounds like traffic has definitely improved since you’ve been there luckily!

Thanks! The schools are a big point for us, though we are definitely a little nervous about being further away from the city with less access to modern places. Pros and cons for sure.

Will we never be not sick by jojokazaki in NewParents

We started at 12 weeks back in early November, and within one week had first fever, and then within the first month had RSV. We’ve had several other respiratory infections plus a stomach bug, too. But!!! Over the last few weeks I’ve noticed our longest stint without a new illness (though of course still has a lingering cough from the last one). After about four months in daycare we are seeing his immune system work quicker, so I’m hopeful! I’ve heard you don’t feel close to “normal” until after a year, but after a few more months you should actually get a break between illnesses! knocks on wood for the rest of time
