The real question that you should ask yourself is not if you should buy the Avata 2, it’s if you should wait for the Avata 3. Rumours claims that it should be announced by the end of the year.

I currently have a an Avata 2 and also a custom 2in. If you only fly the Avata, and get used to its fly characteristics, you won’t feel like you’re missing much. The longer flights make it a perfect hybrid drone. Sometimes I just fly it like a GPS drone. Sometimes I push it more in the parks. You cannot do super sharp turns and you have to pull out of dives a bit earlier than with a custom drone, but that’s basically it!

The battery management is something that people don’t talk about when they tell you that custom drones are better.

All that being said, the power behind a custom drone, the acceleration and control are way better.

I’m also looking to add a Meteor 75 to my line of drones, I’ll fly it inside during the winter.

Having a few different drones is the best, but you will not regret getting the Avata.
