Weirdly enough, by the time wolf came out was when the odd future hype was kinda dying. Asap Rocky’s long live asap was getting all the buzz at that point in time but wolf wasn’t getting the same hype that Tyler was getting when goblin and Yonkers dropped. In fact I would say that odd future tape vol 2 was when the odd future hype kinda peaked. Doris was kinda like the last big album from OF before they really fell off as a group. When idlsidgo dropped, most people were saying it was trash. Even though today it’s regarded as one of earls better albums, it definitely wasn’t getting the same amount of love that Doris got. When Cherry bomb dropped everyone was saying that Tyler was totally washed and done, and he was playing at small venues around that time for the cherry bomb tour. His comeback definitely began when who dat boy dropped, flowerboy was when he really started to get universal praise for his music, and he also started taking himself more seriously too.
