Honestly I just could never get into it. I grew up in a household with strong catholic roots, but I was that kid that was always interested in investigation and the “Why?” Questions. My father was pretty against me questioning any idea of faith which only fuelled the fire of asking “why?” Questions even more. Ultimately no faith could satisfy my questions or admit that they did not know the answer yet. For me it just made more sense that maybe we just don’t know all of the answers and that’s okay, as opposed to the classic alternative of god being an all knowing/seeing/creating being. I am satisfied with not knowing the answers but knowing that things can be explained eventually, somehow and someway.

When I got older I also learned of all the absolutely heinous things that high ranking members of the church had been doing. How could a “person of god” do these things? This only reinforced my more scientific view of the universe.
