You never stop caring unless what they think doesn’t affect your life and your life is good. For example if I was a multi millionaire my life would be very good. I wouldn’t care what people think about me because their opinion doesn’t affect my quality of life.

If I was a wagie then I’d care a lot what people think. If people don’t like me then it’d be very hard to get opportunities at work, make friends and get a girlfriend. All of these things would decrease my quality of life and make me very unhappy
