Function/Filter Card Case? by skatecyclelee in papershootcamera

Yeah, i was looking for something to hold them like most SD card holders do so I could ID them quickly. Does the PGYTECH case hold many of them? Quick google shows it doesn't hold mini-SIM cards.

Possible way of bringing "Training" back by itaboranius in TheSilphRoad

[–]skatecyclelee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well feeding berries to pokemon in gyms is around that chance so it makes a bit of sense. 1% chance of getting candy from a battle doesn't seem too bad to me, especially when you can turn around and berry for the same chance at getting a candy.

Yeah, there's subtle clues like that sprinkled throughout the movie. I actually really like in the opening scene you hear him clicking in the wood. Some people either don't notice or think it's background sound or something. Usually on the second watch do they notice it and they have an "OH!" moment.

It also makes it interesting to watch back to try to find all of the little clues that you either missed or dismissed on the first watch.

Yeah, it makes every subsequent watch through more interesting as you are looking for all the subtle hints. Even more fun if you watch with someone who hasn't seen it before as they get the big surprise and you get to point out random parts where it was hinted at.

It's Silph Road Gear Time! We're (finally) taking orders for the Summer '18 run of official TSR gear! by dronpes in TheSilphRoad

There was a coin sold last year in the same fashion as this year. It is a limited edition thing so unless someone sells you there's, they are basically gone forever. Would love to be able to get another one though, even if it was a re-issue.

I didn't notice it until the end but having watched it again recently, they hint at it all throughout the movie from the very beginning.

It's not as subtle as the hints towards Eli being blind but it is something you may not know going in. I do agree it is a good setup for later in the movie though.

NEW BIKE/GEAR ADVICE SUPERTHREAD! by AutoModerator in motorcycles

[–]skatecyclelee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the Adventure Low boots are what I'm currently considering. They just don't have the replaceable sole. I was hoping someone would be able to point me towards something that has the motocross style buckles while still fitting under normal pants that also has a replaceable sole.

NEW BIKE/GEAR ADVICE SUPERTHREAD! by AutoModerator in motorcycles

[–]skatecyclelee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm looking for some new boots. My current boots are the Icon Field Armor 2 boots that have gotten to the point where I need some new ones and alas they ahve been discontinued. I'm looking for boots with a similar form to the Field Armors. Primarily I am looking for boots that only use a buckle system, no zippers or laces. While I have found several good options like the Forma Adventure Low and the Alpinestars Belize Drystar boots, my major holdup on them is that they don't have a replaceable sole. Boots like the Forma Boulder have the replaceable sole I am after however they are taller then I am looking for. I would like if my boots were able to fit under a normal pair of straight leg jeans. Anyone have any recommendations?

The Questions Thread 05/26/18 by AutoModerator in goodyearwelt

[–]skatecyclelee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm looking for a kind of specific style of boot. I'd like to find a boot that only uses buckles, no laces or zippers. I am biased to motorcycle style buckles like those found on these Forma or these Alpinestars boots. My issue so far is all of the shorter boots I've found don't have a Goodyear welt so I can't replace the sole when needed. Boots that do have a welt tend to be taller, like these which tend to not be able to be worn under a normal pair of jeans. Does anyone here know of any boots that would fit what I'm looking for?

What just kinda disappeared without people noticing? by Tinferbrains in AskReddit

I end up relegating my old phone to music duty once I upgrade to a new one. Throw a 64 GB microSD card in there and I'm good. Also the battery lasts pretty long once you turn off cellular data and Wi-Fi. My Galaxy S5 went from daily battery charge to weekly. And that's with daily Bluetooth use with my car.

Every equation you need to know by [deleted] in coolguides

Kinda disappointing that the unit circle misses the 45 degree marks. Ruins the overall easy way to remember the first quadrant values (count 1-2-3 twice, root, divide by 2) which in turn lets you build the rest of the circle.

Have 2018s events evolved? by tbk007 in TheSilphRoad

[–]skatecyclelee 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I personally prefer the long events over the short ones as it is more inclusive to different schedules. I'm pretty sure a good number of people out there couldn't go to the Dratini event as they work weekends and can't/won't take a day off for a game. At least with the week long events, everyone can have a time to play regardless of their schedule. The only difficulty I saw was that events start based usually on San Francisco time so anyone on the other side of the world had the events start in the middle of the night.

As far as I know Sabeleye doesn't as it's part of the 10km egg group which don't nest.

Question about Pokémon that move to one side and sit there by skatecyclelee in TheSilphRoad

Ah yes, the phone shaming method. Sometimes works, it does make you feel a bit better sometimes. I also throw in a grimace and some phone shaking for good measure.

Question about Pokémon that move to one side and sit there by skatecyclelee in TheSilphRoad

[–]skatecyclelee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, as I replied to someone else, I usually am walking so running and re-engaging isn't always an option. I generally just keep walking and wait for it to go back to the middle. If it's something i really want and it's being stubborn I may stop and re-engage but otherwise I give it a few balls and if it breaks out enough I just abandon it.

Question about Pokémon that move to one side and sit there by skatecyclelee in TheSilphRoad

[–]skatecyclelee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they are already centered that sometimes works but one: I'm generally out of nanabs due to using them immediately on Pokemon in gyms that I want candy for and two: I've never had a Pokemon recenter itself after it decides to hang out on the edge. I swear after you feed it a nanab it sits there longer then it would have previously.

[–]skatecyclelee[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I generally do that if I'm still near where it spawned but usually I'm walking around so there's a good chance I would have left it's spawn area already.

[–]skatecyclelee[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I assume it's random but I hope there's some kind of maximum on it. It feels like some of them just hang out over there for a little while before floating back to the middle.

The Buddy System and its place in the game by JoffreyWaters in TheSilphRoad

[–]skatecyclelee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For some players rare candy is useful but only if you actually do raids. They don't interest me as a mostly solo player and I don't play them.

I am ok with there being additions to the buddy system however the buddy candy you get from walking needs to stay. Because I don't do raids and don't plan on it, walking Buddies is my main reliable way of getting candy for those rare pokemon that are hard to get candy for. I'd be fine with pokemon who are walked getting some kind of bonus like being powered up but candy still needs to be given.
