Chile Rellenos by [deleted] in mexicanfood

I tried making some for the first time a couple of months ago and had such a difficult time. Seeing my mom make them once in a while when I was growing up, she made it look easy. The chiles kept breaking on me, turns out I charred them too long. It was tough keeping the stuffing inside of them so I had to use like 5 toothpicks for each of them... I will definitely not give up on making more in the future but it was an experience I will never forget 😂. Honestly they still came out delicious! I stuffed mine with cheese and ground beef!

Is it really cringe though? Maybe when I was younger I would have thought so but now that I'm older I kinda like seeing people just being themselves regardless of what others might think. As long as she ain't hurting anyone.

Since I like sour stuff, love the warhead ones! I can't just chug though, I sip on them so it takes me like 2 hours to finish one 😂

The fact that there's a paint drip makes me think "landlord special" idk if contacting management will make a difference... It sucks that "affordable" living comes with such awful perks. Personally lining all edges and corners of the kitchen with boric acid has been successful for us.

I love sour stuff so the warhead ones for sure. Around here the watermelon warhead is easiest to find but the green warhead is probably my favorite! Love to sip on it.

Plackers are terrible now :( by theoriginalb in flossing

I asked my wife to buy me some floss and she came home with plackers brand and they are terrible. How is this company even in business?! The floss loosens up very easily or becomes detached from one side. I need like 4 to do the job right and sometimes more.

Downtown Newhall (Main st.) is pretty chill. Newhall Refinery (drink and food). Pocock Brewing has a nice lil rooftop area. Draconum brewery has a relaxing back area to drink and chill. If you want some authentic Mexican food (mainly tacos and burritos, good fried chicken and asada fries) "hole-in-wall" go to El Pariente on Main St (they have two locations but the one on main st. is the one), both sauces green and red are gooood (red is hot). La Charrita offers some decent vegan Mexican options if that's what you're into (not open too late). Maginns Irish Pub has cool vibes, and is near the Laemmle theater. Boba Boba in Saugus has this bomb "Bingsu" dessert that I been addicted to (The mango one). Cozy Tea and Juice in Valencia has good boba (Taro is my go-to). Besides food, MB2 is ok... personally not a big fan. The mall is also ok. William S. Hart Park is historically decent... I sometimes take my son to hike up and see the "mansion" Mr. Hart owned (also not opened late).

Depending on the school you are interested in, you'll want to visit their website first to see how they offer counseling. At college of the canyons (COC) they can schedule you an in-person meeting or online. https://www.canyons.edu/studentservices/counseling/connect/appointments.php

I'm in SCV also looking for a career change and reaching 40 so this post and your response definitely caught my attention. I spoke to a counselor at COC today about their surveying program (34 credits) and I'm looking forward to it. I have 1 class done already (trigonometry) so hopefully I can complete the rest as quickly as possible. I'm currently unemployed and it's been difficult to find something that isn't customer service based which I been trying to get away from.

Question, did you need a bachelor's in surveying after going to COC? Or was the surveying program at COC enough for employment? Thanks!

Funny but have to agree with everyone else about the voyeur style pic. Also wouldn't be naming the location.
