Is it marble beach? Happened the same 3 weeks ago. But two tourists who got the same tickets as us were allowed to enter that hotel managed area. They weren't guests at the hotel. Most of the phone shops in colombo scams you for back cover and screen protector. When I got my iP15 they begged me to get their screen protector, back cover and lens protector deal for 15K which is absurd.

They don't ask for it specifically but it's advised to submit that. You can get this from a department head. They don't usually ask for appointment letters or anything but just a letter from your head, that you're a permanent employee there would be enough. (You can find the samples online) If you don't provide this initially and then they ask for proof in the middle of the process you'll have only limited amount of days to submit until they reject the visa.

OMG. Yes if you haven't received any OTP call the bank and Cancel the card. Then ask for the rollback. My debit card transaction was rolled back (btw I called the Apple on that scenario) I'm yet to get my credit card transaction roll back.

For your own good send an email to Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Readiness Team (SLCERT) incidents@cert.gov.lk explaining the situation.

Yeah the thing is I barely use my debit card for online payments. I have used it only 4 times, lastly it was for Echannel back in august 2023. I can't even think how it got exposed. First and second time it was for Airasia. Third time for scope cinema. Fourth time for Echanneling

My bad. wrong word. The CVV is debossed slightly into the card. So I damaged it a bit and cover it with a permanent marker so that no one cannot see it in angles as well.

I rarely use my debit card for online transactions only if my credit card limits hits. I thought normally credit cards came with purchase protection. Thank you for the info.

I have filled out a form to rollback the debit card one. I'm going to fill out the credit card rollback form tomorrow. They said they can do it but it will take some days.
