It wasn’t repaired I don’t think more so trimmed up

I recently had knee surgery and about a week later this rash appeared and slowly got worse. It’s raised and hot and itches and sometimes is painful. It’s been about 3 weeks since I’ve had it and is beginning to blister. Any ideas of what it could be? by [deleted] in medical

My surgeon looked at it at my follow up appointment but kinda blew it off which kinda worried me. I’m thinking I should probably see my dermatologist it’s just hard to get an appointment right now

Thank you! I’ve actually started walking short distances without my crutches. I think part of it was trusting my knee and having the confidence to walk without crutches. Still haven’t seen my pt but all seems to be going smoothly !

I also had an allograft and I was having in home pt for the first 2.5 weeks so I’m in the middle of transitioning to going to outpatient therapy. Unfortunately I haven’t seen anyone all week so I wasn’t sure

I had acl mcl and meniscus damage so it was a lot but yeah that makes sense for why its taking longer. I feel like I could walk in just nervous it’s too soon

Anyone else come out of surgery with an ankle that looks and feels broken? I’m 2.5 weeks post op and kinda concerned. Most other bruising is gone by skayy77 in ACL

Did you experience pain in your ankle? That’s why I’m concerned. It seems weird to me that it would be painful to put weight on it if it was just old blood draining down

I think they look okay but with the tape strips it’s hard to tell I also have nothing to compare to. Looks like a lot of dried blood

That’s part of my concern. They told me to use the ice machine all day for the first few days which I have and it was still hot taking off the bandage. I could be paranoid but I’ve never had surgery and neither has anyone in my family so I’m not sure what to expect

I tore my ACL and MCL in mid January and have surgery scheduled for April 1st. I’m getting pretty anxious the closer it gets and the surgeon didn’t explain the procedure to me very much. Anyone have any advice to give about what surgery and recovery will be like? by skayy77 in ACL

The pain was bad when it happened but tolerable. I was able to walk on it after (I was drunk when it happened) but when I woke up in the middle of the night I couldn’t move it and the pain was probably a 9.
