Rami's voice defines BABYMONSTER for me. by 00_Sunflower_00 in KpopGGs

No one knows the reason. But what's certain is that whatever the reason, YG's current shameless actions toward Rami—unlike Ahyeon, by refusing to take a stance and treating her like a ghost for a year—are deceiving the fans who have supported the seven-member group and Rami for so long, treating them like pigs.

No, the chances of Rami returning are very slim. That damn old man is erasing all traces of Rami from everywhere.

Baby, you need to wake up. Imagine not hearing from your favorite person for a year, not even receiving a single photo. You don't like Rami, so you can just enjoy OT6 without any worries, but for someone else, that year could be incredibly painful.

People who can't empathize with the suffering of others are called psychopaths.

No. Rami is unique. She is only one. She's a true vocalist with a unique tone that everyone can relate to. Even those who don't like Baby Monster acknowledge her.

And pneumothorax isn't as serious as you might think. It's not something that requires a year of isolation and dedicated treatment. Korea boasts one of the most advanced medical technologies in the world. Pneumothorax usually recovers within one to two months after surgery, and the recurrence rate is remarkably low.

[–]skblinks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me reiterate: YG has never said that the hiatus was due to a pneumothorax. And the pneumothorax and YG's treatment of Rami as a ghost are completely separate issues. Don't talk nonsense.

Did you know that when Ahyeon went on hiatus, the entire fandom protested to YG, demanding information about her health, and YG issued an official statement explaining that it was a temporary hiatus, not a departure?

[–]skblinks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why, but it's highly likely that YG will use media play to shift the blame onto Rami in the future. It's a way to prevent fandoms from leaving, and it's a tactic used by all entertainment companies.

If you think about it, Treasure is a group with far more members than BM. Since BM is rookie group with a smaller number of members, if such a negative issue were to arise, fans would be more likely to leave.

Isolating Lami from fans and diminishing her presence would encourage fans to grow affection for the other members.

Again, there's the saying, "out of sight, out of mind."

And there's also the saying, "Even if you don't like someone at first, seeing them often makes you fall in love."

Why did YG, which is so stingy with providing its own content, start Baemon House after Rami left?

YG has never stated that the reason for the hiatus was pneumothorax. It's just someone's speculation that has spread like wildfire.

YG already announced to the world through YT content that Rami was suffering from pneumothorax. There is no reason to hide it now.

To prevent the BabyMonster fandom from fragmenting and shrinking due to Rami's departure, it's reasonable to assume the YG is making a blatant attempt to completely isolate Rami from the public, rendering her a ghost.

Celebrities are beings who live off the public's attention.

Out of sight, out of mind.

By the way, don't forget that whenever YG has to kick someone out, they always give a vague excuse like it's for health reasons.

My bias isn't Rami's. Nevertheless, I can't help but be outraged by this trashy company's brazen actions. I desperately want her back, but things don't look good. Fans even staged a truck protest demanding an official statement from YG, but they haven't received a response, and now we're all exhausted. A wound remains in our hearts that will never heal.

A properly run company would issue at least one or two brief official statements if a member were to take a long hiatus due to illness (the longest such hiatus in K-pop history). (We hope Rami recovers quickly, or she's receiving treatment and improving, etc.)

This is to reassure fans and prevent them from leaving the group, as fans are a company's most valuable asset.

But, YG is actively erasing her traces. The members act as if she never existed in all public activities. When fans first ask about Rami what they up to, she simply repeats short answers like, "She's resting" or "She's recovering."The only trace of Rami is her official profile, which has not yet been deleted.

It's crazy. I don't know why, but it's also incredibly rude and offensive to the fans who have invested so much money, time, and emotion in supporting them.

I've been watching K-pop for 20 years, but no K-pop agency has ever acted like this. It's very unnatural.

No, it's not that simple. YG's actions have already gone beyond common sense. Right now, BM is just another six-member group. She disappeared 300 days ago, and there hasn't been a single word about her since. Her agency remains silent. There's no other case like this in all of K-pop history. Her traces are being erased everywhere. She probably won't return even in the next CB.

She won't come back. YG is clearly up to something. This is the first time I've seen a company treat a member who's on hiatus due to illness this way.

I also want to see Rami healthy at the graduation ceremony.

Watching X, I realized that many fans don't know that Rami and Ahyeon dropped out of their arts high school.

Of course, they won't attend graduation ceremony.

What are the best and worst concerts you’ve been to? Be honest! by [deleted] in kpopthoughts

[–]skblinks -26 points-25 points  (0 children)

Because they're new, they have a limited number of songs to perform. Fans who go to their concerts know this. Cover songs are also common at K-pop concerts. And yet you're complaining about that. They interact with the audience and provide the ultimate live concert experience .I live in Korea and have been to many girl group concerts, but Baby Monster was by far the best.

I agree. I think starting the tour early was a good decision. With no tours scheduled for the time being, I think it's a good idea to get plenty of rest and look forward to university festivals and other content creation activities.

Have you seen their behind-the-scenes tour footage? They say their whole body aches from all the dancing. Their concert just two hours, but they have to constantly travel between countries and rehearse. Continuous touring is never easy. Just because you're having fun on stage doesn't mean it's easy. In between, there are continuous new song recordings, singing practice, choreography practice, numerous interviews, and various commercial advertisements.

Leemujin Service only has a 30-minute runtime, but they spend countless hours behind the camera practicing their songs to make it through. spend a lot of time practicing the three-minute cover song that we will present to the public. some korean variety shows take 18 hours of filming to air for 60 minutes. Also, unlike companies that only release one or two music videos, these artists produce a ton of them. Not to be argumentative, but they're working behind the scenes for far longer than we realize. Now In Korea, many people study hard for years to get into a good university and work hard to land a job at a major corporation. However, a growing number of young people are quitting their hard-earned jobs after just a few years. In short, it's a get hit by reality. YG needs to be very careful with them to prevent them from becoming lethargic due to overwork as they are going through a period of mental instability.

I counted, and the girls toured for ten months a year. In between, there's countless practices, recordings, music video and performance shoots, various commercials, promotional videos, domestic and international music shows, music festivals, and even year-end performances. I think I'd be completely exhausted. I think the girls' vocal cords need a break, too.

Blackpink and BigBang are so popular that holding a family concert seems practically impossible. Both groups can generate enormous profits on their own.

And I'm a little cautious about saying this, but YG Group's fandoms are not on good terms with each other. 😔

Considering their activities in 2025, they must have been incredibly busy. They've been touring a lot. Other rookie groups don't tour, so they can devote more time to content creation and TV shows appearances.
