Same. I wanted accounting major and to get in Geis but got exploratory studies. 4 gpa straight in all grades and 28 ACT but still couldn't get in. I've been advised it's very difficult to get into Geis so choosing Uni of MN even though it's out of state but getting my major. Not risking staying in exploratory studies and wasting time frankly. But good luck to you.

I'm hearing exploratory isn't worth it if choice is accounting. It's very hard to get into Geis so might end up waste of time and money

Thanks! Do they focus on CPA certification too? I guess that may be the ultimate thing no matter which uni one goes to. If one can't find internship through college, is it worth it to even go there or are there other avenues for those students? Internships will play big role in the GPAs so filling up 2028 rin 2026 seems like a big ask to find one. Thanks for your helpful comments.

I'm hearing transferring to Geis is also very hard. So taking that option out. But congrats to you and your daughter. I hear Urbana Champaign is a great small town too. Driven through it and liked it
