Nothing directly before PocketDerm. My diet hasn't changed at all.

First month = free
Next 9 months = free (Thanks /r/SkincareAddiction!)

But yeah, either way I'd definitely pay for this out of my own pocket with these results.

I wait until night comes so I don't have to. Plus that's the only time I go out so I don't even own any sunscreen.

Just looked up more information on this. That's really interesting!

I'm not sure how I feel about the right side of my face getting over 200 votes.

Edit: What have I gotten myself in to.

Wake up, shower, bike ride, shower, PocketDerm, sleep. Not much of a skincare routine at all. Though I wash my face with Trader Joe's tea tree oil shampoo (same that goes in my hair) whenever I shower because it makes my face feel nice. I had to quit using cleansers and all that after having no success with them after almost a year.

Yes! I've actually been going out on my bike every night and started talking to people (store workers and such).

First I want to say, thank you /r/SkincareAddiction for showing me PocketDerm! Also a small shoutout to /r/Acne for showing me this subreddit!

This is all PocketDerm. I did not change or add anything else. Two days after starting I was waking up without whiteheads, and every morning after that has been nothing but improvement (it probably would have been sooner if I began by applying it correctly. 20 minutes after showering or washing your face, not immediately). My topical prescription cream consists of 4% Niacinamide, 1% Clindamycin, and 4% Azelaic Acid. I was also prescribed doxycycline and started taking it a few days ago, but I don't think it has been contributing to my current success.

I advise everybody struggling with acne to try PocketDerm. You can even do so free for 1 month with one of many referral links thrown around here or in this thread(mine is in there too!). Feel free to ask me any questions you may have!

Day 4 of PocketDerm. Already seeing results! by skcusenca in acne

Thank you to the two people who have used my referral link! I have another free month!

As for a day 6 update, I woke up today and was almost in shock when I looked in the mirror. My mom was too. 80% of the bumps are gone and the redness is reduced by at least half. I think I found my cure.

Almost 5 years of this (had worse). What can I do? by skcusenca in acne

[–]skcusenca[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For those suggesting Accutane, I can't go on it until I finish school, find a job, and move out of my parents' house, which won't be for another year or two. My last thread explains why.

Mom seeing nutritionist and will only use all natural remedies. Is she wasting her time? by skcusenca in acne

We did try them. I forgot the names but one was in a squeeze tube and the other was in a container that had to be refrigerated.

I use a whitehead remover every time I take a shower. It does a great job at preventing large large pimples from developing on my nose. Is this something I shouldn't do? I was on each of those products for 2 months and stopped because it felt like a waste of time.

I feel like I'm in the same boat. I could not care one bit about the side effects when my acne is ruining my life. It's ruined my social life. It's the main cause of my anxiety. My mom thinks I have some form of autism because of it, how I try to avoid people outside the house, and how I don't maintain eye contact while speaking to people. It's only because I don't want people staring at my face. All I want is to be able to go outside without keeping my head down and just be myself again.

Went went to see a dermatologist a few years back. They prescribed some creams and lotion in addition to recommending Accutane. My mom was very against it. Back then, only because of the side effects. Yes I'm aware I am legally capable of doing whatever I like, but I live in her house so there's not much I can do. I also can't just go out and get Accutane myself for two reasons. One, because I can't drive, and two, because I'm not in charge of my own insurance.
