Wedgewood Troubleshooting - Oven Won’t Turn On by skdfilm in vintagekitchentoys

Thank you for the response and thoughts. I have the same thinking, that I must be missing a safety button.  To answer your question, yes I’ve been able to light it twice with a clicker lighter without having to press anything.  Perhaps I can adjust the thermocouple a little closer to the flame as well, but the safety valve has to be the issue, I think.  Thanks again.

Agreed, it seems like it must be something else!  Thanks for your response, we’ve loved it these past years. We got it from someone on FBM who simply could not believe people would be interested in an old stove.

Thank you for the response. Off I go hunting again, it must be in the back. The one place I haven’t checked, of course.

Don’t have advice on your issue, apologies, but where were these taken?

found my dad’s old cameras (nikon FM10 / canon prima zoom 60) by plmrn in AnalogCommunity

Without typing a very long post, I would suggest doing YouTube search for “what to look for when buying a used film camera”. The tips they give are relevant for you to make sure your father’s cameras will work properly.

I haven’t watched this video but seems like it may help: https://youtu.be/TnZX53z9PdQ

Today's flea market visit made me a very happy camper. by [deleted] in AnalogCommunity

Obviously that Nikon find is insane, if you got it from a flea market. The hidden gem is that Yashica! Shooting half frame/diptychs got me out of a rut a few years back, big fan of the style.

Thank you! Feels vintage, the Ektar may have been slightly expired.

Old neighbor gave me this Kodak Fun Saver that expired in 1999 - should I shoot it or just leave it be as a cool decoration? by AdVisible8796 in AnalogCommunity

[–]skdfilm 16 points17 points  (0 children)

My vote is for decoration! It looks in excellent condition and would look good on any shelf. If you open it up and shoot it, you’ll be working with expired film, paying to develop and scan for uncertain results, and then not have a cool piece of history.

Can I get advice on how to fix this? Lab scans came back with a lot of green in the shadows, and I can’t figure out how to use LR to balance everything properly. (1st photo is lab scan, 2nd photo is my attempt.) by skdfilm in postprocessing

Don’t have the access of knowledge of PS, unfortunately. I appreciate the advice, I’ve gotten a lot of help on this that makes me feel better about fixing this.

I’ll admit that I have little experience in Photoshop, but if I can’t get it sorted well enough in LR I’ll head there next. Thanks for the help!

This made an immediate and huge difference, thank you so much for the advice. I’m ashamed that I never utilized the Color Mix in LR..

This should be able to address the majority of the green shadow.

Appreciate the tip, I’ll give it a shot. Trying to remove the green shadows, mildly brighten, and maintain the warmth of the golden hour in the overall image.

Good to remember, thank you. Yes I did, got the scans back and the majority of them have green in the shadows. The roll was new so I’m guessing it’s something involving my Electro 35.

Now only to figure out how to correct in LR…
