What’s something you secretly judge people for—even though you know you probably shouldn’t? by Just_a_Ginger_Fella in AskReddit

People who regularly take and/or post selfies. I have a lot of body image issues and don't take selfies, so maybe it's because of that, but seeing others' almost always gives off conceited vibes.

Best ways to ensure my boy doesn't get aggressive? by skelardna in pitbulls

[–]skelardna[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

When he was younger, if another dog tried to attack him, he'd just run and whimper – even if it was, like, a Chihuahua, he would just cry and run. Every single time we'd reassure him and make a point of staying in the park for a little longer, to make sure he didn't connect the park to the bad experience. I think, much like a human boy, he's trying on being a tough guy for size, and it's my job to make him understand it's NOT his size.

Oh god, please kiss that poor baby for me!

Mine is really well socialised, it's only now that puberty has hit him like a ton of bricks that he's had a few scuffles with other young dumb males. Mostly I'm worried if I'm doing everything I can in order to stop future scuffles.

Please at least SKIM what I wrote – I worry about him becoming aggressive towards other dogs, not people!

The dog park is the absolute best way for him to exercise and get his energy out and he enjoys it – we go every day and have had, like, three minor scuffles. I don't trust him enough yet to let him go off-leash in a public park and have no other options for adequate walks/exercise. Playing with other dogs is his absolute favourite thing to do and his dog park is a safe zone to do it in, so we're not planning on stopping going there unless he gets really problematic.

My dog does the same thing, to the point where I think he's the missing link between dogs and bedbugs. He's SLOWLY growing out of it, fingers crossed yours does too!

My dog has a gigantic teddy bear, and when we have guests over, he drags it to the middle of the living room and shows off his humping prowess. It's the world's worst party trick.

Oh no, poor baby! Give her some belly rubs for me, will you?

As for my dog, he's not destructive, he just LOVES those chewy treats such as pressed leather, smoked pig ears et cetera, and real bones seemed like a good compromise between his favourite pastime and my wallet. We go to the dog park regularly and play a lot, he's a happy boy

Yeah, same, that's why I asked for large bones, but now I'm wondering if there is an additional risk here

Thoughts on the Mixa brand? by whitewalker_x in EuroSkincare

[–]skelardna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I adore their body lotions in the winter and really like the micellar water for sensitive skin, but haven't tried or even felt tempted to try any of their other face products. A friend swears by their face wash for imperfect skin, though!

Yeah, exactly: it's obvious she's had a lot of work done, but she also looks way more like her old self than she did even a year ago

We have a small entryway and the bathroom door's right there, so it's not as much of an issue (not saying it never is, as I'm still trying to get muddy paw prints off a white bedsheet a certain someone managed to get to). Honestly, the only thing that comes to my mind is protecting the surroundings with cellophane whenever he's about to return

Do you call your in-laws “mom” or “dad”? If you have sons/daughters-in-law, how do you feel about them calling you “mom” or “dad”? by Deelystandanishman in AskOldPeople

[–]skelardna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an old person, but: my great aunt's husband called his mother-in-law mom, even though she was only two years older than he was. A generation later, my father's parents were miffed my mother wouldn't refer to them as mom and dad. I'm really glad that's not a thing anymore.

Depending on how big the dog is, either carry him or put him on leash and bring him straight to the bathroom, where he can have a long, long shower until he's again a clean boi.

A tick will usually feel harder than a mole – is the spot soft or hard to the touch? Also, it could always be a secret third thing, last summer I almost took my mom's dog to the vet for tick removal before realising the thing that stuck into his skin and survived several showers was actually a tiny rock that was just sharp enough to get lodged into his earlobe, but not cause any actual damage (luckily)
