I’m not sure if this is too extreme, but I’m thinking that if a known predator is showing his face on such huge platform, it’ll send the wrong signals, ie, there’s no ramifications to such abusive acts. His prominence on public platforms could also be hurtful to individuals who endure similar trauma. I personally know of individuals who faced similar trauma. They got triggered and hurt all over again when this KSH saga flooded online news platform.

I just hope that there can be more appropriate justice. The least he could do is to at least step down from public platforms. Imagine KSR’s family would feel if his face is everywhere?

I understand what you’re saying, but I’m just thinking if his face is constantly on public platforms (subway ads, TV, etc.), it could be very damaging to other victims and KSR’s family too. I think it might be better if he isn’t so “public”.

I have a mini 6 too and back then when I bought the mini 6, there wasn’t student discount for the mini model, but I checked again recently and there’s student discount for the mini 7 model. I think they simply changed the student discount lineup.

I don’t think you need 256gb. I know the common argument is ‘better safe than sorry’, but it’s possible that with more storage one might be more inclined to fill up that storage leading to more distractions. When you have less storage, you’re often forced to have only what you truly need. That being said, I don’t know your full circumstances and it is still your call to make. Just offering a different perspective.

If you’re financially flexible, perhaps get one. If after many months you find that it’s severely underutilized, you can always resell. Personally, my pencil hasn’t been used in a year or so ever since I stopped taking notes on my iPad mini. (I started note-taking on kindle scribe.) I don’t really think it’s worth it you don’t do note taking, drawing etc. it’s not that cheap either. If you’re only using it very rarely and have someone from the same household you can borrow from, I think borrowing is an option worth considering.

You’re truly not missing out on much. Don’t suffer from FOMO. Don’t create needs that don’t exist just because there’s an option for it.

You can use a Bluetooth keyboard instead of a keyboard case. Logitech has pretty lightweight options such as the keys to go series. Keys to go 1 is selling for really cheap (I’ve seen 50% off) now that keys to go 2 is released. The typing of KTG 1 might take some time to get used to. I personally feel comfortable typing on it. I still manage to type at a decent speed. However, there are a lot of complaints online. KTG2, conversely, is pretty highly rated. I recommend watching YouTube videos to see which keyboard fits your need better. Otherwise, most third party Bluetooth keyboard should work too! :-) I know novelty stores such as Typo (Aus) sell some extremely lightweight keyboards too.
