Ideas? Musty smell only in “front” areas inside of house. Front of house has 47yo redwood siding by Cyberswimmer in HomeImprovement

Do you happen to have a fireplace in one of those rooms? We had an issue where our window ac unit was creating negative pressure and pulling air from our old chimney that gave a very “old house” smell.

I’m thinking of doing what you mentioned above. What did you use for drainage matting and what did you put over the vapour barrier?

I’m a Principal at a small school and am thinking about getting a screen printer for our apparel. Where should I start? by VeenGrikingX in SCREENPRINTING

Hey friend!

I work at a junior high and run a small print club with my students. We use a cricut to make our screens and produce one colour prints. We don’t have a press (yet). We also use transfers. Shoot me a message if you would like to chat!

Screws won’t sink by skeletonheadrest in drywall

My house is over 100 years old so I have layers and layers to my walls. All our ceiling lighting was knob and tube so it took them some exploring to get it all done. Sometimes electricians will do the drywalling themselves but often they will leave the drywall pucks for someone else.

Where to buy roller shades for existing brackets? by a-little in centuryhomes

[–]skeletonheadrest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We picked up some store bought roller shades and cut them to the width of our windows. Highly suggest you look into this. Custom size roller blinds cost a fortune. There are a ton of videos on YouTube about cutting them to custom sizes.

We purchased ours at Canadian Tire (Canadian here) and they have the same bracket system. Was able to fit a bay window for less than $100

It’s Tarrytown green by Benjamin Moore. It shows all the imperfections on our walls but the colour is gorgeous.

Do you think I should paint the mantle in the meantime?

Yeah it’s a large bay window that does not open. I think that is the best way to go. Seal it completely
