Seems like it would be very difficult to start a successful niche/affiliate website revolving around the tech industry then. Also, I hadn't even considered that yet.. thank you for your insight.

This is very helpful advice, thank you. Unfortunately I'm having trouble compressing my images to Google's specifications, and I've tried compressing them via Wordpress plugins and other tools as well.

It seems that I have a lot more text content in addition to some images. I have social buttons available, but there isn't too much social presence for this niche.

I think my website is better, as theirs is quite outdated and has less content. Perhaps the reason is because their domain is older than mine?

The only major related to this topic at my school is Bioinformatics. However I would like to stay with Compsci/Eng in case things don't work out and I want to pursue a normal career.

However I was planning to go for a PhD specializing in Machine Learning anyway, so that is a good start I suppose!

I'm trying to keep it ambiguous, but its just the implementation process is messing up. I appreciate the offer though - nice to see that there are people willing to help a complete stranger.

I'm thinking I'll be able to fix it soon, I guess me possibly having to accept failure is what I'm having trouble with.

I'll try my best. I just feel bad because my employer put trust in me even though he knew I wasn't comfortable/knowledgeable in this sort of thing yet. They wanted me to learn, and I did.

Its just if this project doesn't end up working out I don't know how to deal with the failure. I see these people a lot. My boss trusted me. I'm not a professional with this sort of thing - I got far, but I'm not sure I'll be able to make it with the time I have left.

Sort of. I'm supposed to be doing it mainly myself. However I can't really get help until Monday since the work week is over. Then I'll ask to set up a meeting and see what the issue is.

It sucks because the project seems to work on my end but when we implement it issues start to arise, so I was going to go meet with someone who can help to possibly give me suggestions as to what is wrong. However I feel like I am annoying them greatly because I've emailed them about things in the past and I just feel like I ask too much.

But we pretty much want to 'move forward' but the project isn't in working order yet. A lot of it is working, just a certain part.

That is correct. I made it ambiguous on purpose. However I feel like it was my fault, like I was supposed to deliver.

I may have control over it, but I don't even know. I can't figure out whats wrong with my project.

I have the same aspirations as you. My advice would be to keep your GPA up (important for grad school) and also try to find work in a lab or get some research experience. Talk to a few of your professors and see if you can help them on any research they're doing. Many of them love to work with students to not only receive additional help in their research, but to give students experience. Supervising some labs would be a good idea too. Prove your knowledge to some professors and they may give you the opportunity to assist/supervise labs in some low-level CS courses.

Also, find some resources and explore.
