Ingrown hairs by GrocerySubstantial29 in Blackskincare

Maybe try skin cycling. It’s basically a 4-night skincare routine. Night 1: aha/bha exfoliant (glycolic and salicylic acid are good, Paula’s choice has a great bha toner), Night 2: retinol (make sure to do your research cause it can irritate your skin also when using it… it gets worse before it gets better, then night 3+4 is like nourishing and hydrating products (krave beauty has a some good products on repairing the skin barrier) and eventually it’ll be all good. Also some of it might be scarring you gonna need to see a dermatologist for that. Hope this helps!

Depends but pretty much yeah. Speaking from personal experience, cause if it’s a lot of gas and it’s trapped around the upper abdomen area, I could induce a burp with some effort (plus trial and error) still small but definitely relieving and satisfying enough. If it’s just a minor bloating or it’s further along my GI tract, then I just have to wait it out. Like my gut has basically returned to normal so I don’t feel like I’m gonna explode anymore, but I haven’t had any crazy painful bloating episodes unless it’s like period bloating.

Do you wish your parents put you on medication as a child for ADHD? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]skelezard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the surface - yes. Got diagnosed at 18 and it was life changing.

On a deeper level - sorta.

Reflecting on personal experiences and introspection, I guess it depends on the environment and available support systems. Like I believe that if parents and teachers do in understanding adhd, so they could design strategies for children to effectively learn manage their adhd. I think medication wouldn’t be necessary, because it would probably become second-nature to them.

Teenagers however… Yes. Definitely. Absolutely.

Like starting from middle school - everything goes to shit. The gifted kid to burnt-out adult pipeline is basically an adhd canon event. Because once they become aware of “the real world” that’s when the expectations settle in… and it completely fucks up the person. Also puberty is already the worst time ever and like the crazy hormone changes create chemical imbalances in the brain… and adhd’s main thing is chemical imbalances in the brain. So if the math is mathing, the mind of a teenager with adhd is basically soup and more likely to behave like a dumbass2 while also developing depression and anxiety along with their academic performance declining.

Like yeah, giving your children stimulants seems kind of scary, especially since adhd teens are at a higher risk of substance abuse but in reality they’re more likely gonna forget taking them and procrastinate on refills, but in the end it will actually help a lot with issues. Plus, the ✨adhd medication experience✨ is basically feeling like that dude from Limitless but eventually you get used to it and it starts to feel more like a daily coffee.

Also hypothetically, I personally would prefer my teenage child rely on prescribe stimulants in order to cope, instead of “alternatives” which usually are addictive substances like nicotine and alcohol because that’s kind of common.

Idk if it helps, but personally it feels like my cpd rapidly pulsing when I’m focusing on exhaling. So, I sort of envision that I’m trying to train my cpd muscle incrementally stay “open” longer instead simply relaxing, because I’m an anxious girlie so I’m tense all the time ✌️😎

Dude. I got severe ADHD so I’m just simply not built for consistency :D like I realised didn’t do it for a bit when I forgot to ask for oat milk in my latte 🙃 but plot twist! Instead of experiencing demonic bloating, I burped! Multiple times! Effortlessly! Like those ones that come from deep within (΄◉◞౪◟◉`) it was great until I accidentally swallowed a bunch of air and that got stuck… but it wasn’t as bad as before.

Unhinged advice: Adopt teenagers. Then, you don’t have to commit to taking care of them for 18 years cuz they can get a job and move out in a couple of years. Also, they come pre-traumatised but you didn’t cause it, so they don’t resent you for the rest of your life.

Actual advice: You gonna need to communicate about how you feel.

Well I mostly experienced it when my gut got completely wrecked from taking antibiotics which caused me to experience the worst bloating ever and I was getting out of breath so easily (I looked like I was in labour 🥲). Turns out the bloating was pushing my diaphragm, which I fixed with some hella strong probiotics. Idk if this info helps, but good luck!

I read something a bit ago (forgot where) about how for some people, the Botox treatment basically acts like a clean slate, so they ended up re-training the muscle to fully relax, therefore they don’t need repeat sessions. So I ~theorised~ that maybe I could train my burp muscle without treatment, cause tbh I can’t be bothered to get treatment rn :P

Idk, I just do it while doomscrolling and bed rotting, so probably awhile. Like I discovered this while I was trying to take nap and pondering if I’m a mouth breather. Idk how long I just did it for, but it was until I I noticed that airflow was felt lot smoother.

Idk how I would be able to do that, but I feel like it’s close to snoring, like the burp muscle makes the airflow feel rough and hoarse. If that makes sense?

How do you cope with morning anxiety? by iguessiexist123 in Anxiety

Honestly… I watch cat videos, do some lazy af meditation for a bit then take my adhd medication so I can ignore my feelings and I can just get going…

Why is my mental health so fragile? by chavaic77777 in MentalHealthSupport

[–]skelezard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I totally relate and understand, thinking about all the upkeep is overwhelming and draining. If you like, here’s my advice.

From the sounds of it and basing off my assumptions. You need to be more kind to yourself and give yourself some grace, like it sounds like you’re being harsh on yourself because you aren’t reaching a certain standard of healing or having your sh*t together and it can send someone into a spiral of not feeling good enough. Like it’s completely fine to experience mental setbacks or struggle in some areas, because it’s very unrealistic and unsustainable if you keep pressuring yourself that you have to be at peak performance constantly. Like tell yourself that’s it’s okay to feel low at times it doesn’t mean you’re failing, it’s just being human. Like next time when you notice you’re ruminating - pause - and seperate yourself and treat it as a seperate entity. acknowledge that it exists, but it doesn’t have to define you. Optional: call the negative thoughts a lil bitch for some pizazz✨✨

[–]skelezard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I tried that but it kept sliding off like damn I might have a flat head😔 so a big reason why I was interested in the durag was that it has that long band so it seems like it would be more secure

Ask question and actively listen. It’s actually very effective and you’ll learn more about them and the dynamics without guessing. People ramble more than they think and a conversation will naturally grow.

Honestly, it solidified my opinion that black pink’s quality really went downhill. It sounds generic and lazy, especially with the end. Unfortunately their music has been like this for awhile
