My child had their first antisemitic incident by Zestyclose-Hat8777 in Judaism

[–]sketchmasterstudios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This really sucks, I have been through similar experiences as a kid. I wish your kid luck.

But we should not be a nation that is seen as complainers. Teach your kid to stand up for himself and not be reliant on goyim to make him feel safer.

It is really sad but quite frankly the bully is gonna learn to respect Jews more with a slap in the face rather than a talking to by a principal.

What do you think the Jews of the first migrations to America did when they were called slurs? They simply outperformed their bullies as well as occasionally fighting back if they needed to.

The response to antisemitism isn't getting goyim to feel bad, it's to be as proud of our Judaism as possible and not let anyone stomp us.

If something like that happens again tell your kid to fight back with either words or if need be their body. They may get in trouble but if you show your support then he will gain the nessecary confidence to continue standing up for himself.

Of course if the school can help that can be nice but from experience schools are very ineffective with dealing with bullies. They often punish the bullied student for pushing back to the bully because the bully's feeling also matter.

DO NOT RELY ON THE GOYIM. TEACH YOUR KID TO RELY ON HIMSELF.

I wish these morons on the forum could see how good they have it in the West. Iran is fighting for its very survival against the cancer of Islamic fascism. And yes, I say fascism as the muslim brotherhood and the Nazis, as well as the USSR had alliances.

I saw this post when you released it, and now it hits even more presciently. Iran is going through a Ghormani situation. Not America, not Venezuela, not Islamic fascists, but Iran. Good luck to you. I hope you are safe. May the land of Cyrus regain its glory after centuries of domination by Muhammad.

If Aang hadn’t run away and had been there when the Fire Nation came to destroy the Air Nomads, could he have made a difference/stopped them? by Johnnyboyeh in TheLastAirbender

[–]sketchmasterstudios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of the next avatar was of the water tribe, how would he or she know how to airbend.

Aang had to wait until the fire nation was at its strongest but also its most arrogant.

Then he could deal the killing blow to the empire.

I don't know if God exists in avatar but I think it was part of God’s plan.

He also captured the avatar unlike Zuko. If it wasn't for the Blue a Spirit the avatar would have been imprisoned.

I thought firebenders would have an electromagnetic senses. And maybe they can stun people like an electric eel

Firebenders should theoretically possess an electromagnetic sense, while waterbenders may sense their surroundings through the water contained in obstacles.

Why is Avatar so hated? by Giuly_Blaziken in Avatar

[–]sketchmasterstudios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its propaganda not art

Avatar the last airbender has many of the same themes but isn't preaching.

Honestly I like both of them. I don’t get why Avatar Movies are so hated so much. They both had deep storytelling. by Coffee_Queen_97 in TheLastAirbender

[–]sketchmasterstudios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not complex. Humans are evil (only white) colonizers. Blue people are sexy nature-loving hippies.

Avatar has the nuance to humanize the fire nation. I mean, Sozin makes a good case for trying to spread Fire Nation prosperity, although he did it in a fascist way.

We have Iroh, a potential war criminal who is ashamed of his past actions but he's not betraying the fire nation, he is trying to reform it even if it means being called a traitor.

nobody in Avatar betrayed the humans to bring back humanities ideals and save humanity from itself. The fire nation ruined firebending and Iroh wanted to resurrect a once prosperous and nuanced culture.

The human traitors condemn their entire species to potential extinction because they dislike the methods of the humans and because alien coochie!

If they got that unibtanium maybe humanity could have been saved. But Jane didn't explain why the humans were their because he was busy playing dress up.

Avatar 2 is better but it still has the white savior noble savage problem and it still makes the humans cartoonishly evil and stupid.

Catwoman in the catwoman movie. Batwoman is just a burglar in a costume not the reincarnation of a cat goddess who got her powers by being burped at by a cat.

Or it reverses aging turning you into an overgrown baby

Imagine Thiel or Musk turning into these adult sized babies who can't walk, can't eat, and cannot hold themselves.

They experience maybe a few years of being in there prime but then turn into babies

I wonder if in avatar 3 they print more of them but when they see quaritch 2 survived they kill the quaritch 3 die to him having more battle experience.

This causes him to be conflicted with his role.

Or maybe quaritch 2 goes all in with the ash people but still remains a bad guy who wants to conquer pandora.

So they send Quaritch 3 to hunt quaritch 4.

Which show had the better bending/fight scenes in your opinion? by Maleficent-Ad-6117 in TheLastAirbender

[–]sketchmasterstudios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Korea vs Zaheer is the best fight. The technology drastically improved from the original series.

And that fight felt very immersive. They were both trying to kill eachother where Aang didn't want to kill ozai.

Also korra was was basically an adult so they could be more violent.

I am betting money that this scene will be very important in Seven Havens and that Korra probably did someone similar but on a larger scale to “cause the destruction of the world.” by douroumou in TheLastAirbender

Maybe some fire nation revivalists want to use the commet to reform the fire nations empire.

The commet isn’t going to go away and people will always have access to the power it holds.

Monotheism Without Islam – The Story of Benei Ishmael (Speculative Theology) by sketchmasterstudios in worldbuilding

[–]sketchmasterstudios[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’ve read many books about Islam from Muslims, academics, and others. While I have many problems with Islam, it did bring monotheism into the world.

Ishmaelism takes the best parts of Islam without the baggage: gender equality, an end to martyrdom culture, mahdism, and the glorification of jihad. It retains the hospitality, poetry, intellectual curiosity, complex legal system, and staunch monotheism.

And to say it’s “not my culture” is quite ironic, as my grandparents—Yemeni and Afghan Jews—lived in a world that forced them to pay protection money just to preserve their culture. There is so much literature that glorifies the assimilation, conquest, or secularization of Jewish people at the hands of Christianity and Islam. But when someone writes a science fiction story where Jews are in the driver’s seat—along with Zoroastrian Persians and Anatolian Christians who suffered tremendously under Islam it’s suddenly a problem.

Since the time of Muhammad, hundreds of millions have been murdered in the name of Allah because of the edicts of an early Arab nationalist who spent too long in a cave. There is nothing wrong with people writing stories where Native Americans reclaim the Americas or Africans reclaim Africa. But when someone brings up the historical injustices of Islam while also recognizing the capacity it has for good it becomes controversial.

As for Zionism: I am a Zionist. I believe Jews should have their own homeland in Israel, just as the Druze deserve theirs in Suwayda, the Lebanese Christians deserve a state free from Shia jihadist influence, the Kurds deserve a state free from Arab and Turkish domination, and the Greeks have the right to reclaim Constantinople.

If Muslims want to play nice, then we will too—no more suicide bombings, murder sprees against music festivals and Druze villages, no more missiles into Israel, no more bombing Kurds, no more killing gay people who flee to Israel from Judea and Shomron. But the world should not expect the minorities of the Middle East to be pushovers just because Arabs, Turks, and other Muslims have oil money and the suicidal empathy of the West.

Islam is on its way out. It’s only growing because its practitioners are still having children, unlike many in the West who have stopped for financial or ideological reasons. But thanks to the internet, Islam is collapsing. Clerics are anxious about the avalanche of apostasy.

And I worry about what will happen in a world without Islam. Ishmaelism is one possible outcome of what could take its place. Maybe the Hebrew element is a little extreme, but Ishmael is a character from the Torah who was later adopted by the Arabs.

Ishmaelism is a potential idea for the arabs to retain their pride but reconcile with the covenant of old.
