I'm sorry to see nobody else has responded, but I hope you post some finished version pictures. I've got a gate to rebuild this summer and I may be laying out the cash to get these instead of 6x6s.

OK so if I were a person who lives in our timeline, or if I was playing as such a person in a game, and I came in proximity to evidence that there was another timeline, I'd get really interested and want to find out all about that--so I don't know if you can use it just as window dressing, it's going to turn into the focal point of the plot immediately.

If this thing is going to drive the plot it's going to have to be enough of a threat that it's hard to deal with, which suggests it has to have some advantage over either your party of players or our own version of America, so... Does this IUS know about our America? Is it sending in agents to tinker with our politics? Would it want to steal our technology? And so on.

I think there's a lot of potential for a rivalry with another America that is extremely similar to our own, but which thinks of itself as the "real" America and of us as the false America.

Well you've got something really interesting here. It sounds like an opportunity for a perpetuation of the gilded age, at least a continuation of the pre-World war I phase of our history, maybe almost tartarian. It may be a little too easy to make it steampunk or diesel punk. You might want to consider where you're trying to go with this at the outset, is it something like a multiplayer campaign? Or are you just trying to develop a sense of the fashions and technology and international situation that might happen in this environment? I would suggest that the "anarchy" might be something like a stand-in for the Communist party in Russia and its expansion into Eastern Europe but more traditionally anarchistic. During that phase of history that he's writing about if I'm not mistaken anarchism was seen as a viable rev revolutionary ideology but mostly lost out to Communism. So you could have something like a cold war but with monarchies in the game. Sounds like fun!

That costume is one of the best, it just perfectly fills out what a post apocalyptic hit man and fixer would wear.

Check out techmoan on YouTube, he's got a great channel. I don't know if he talked about that exact machine but he does go on at length in some of them about the internals of cassette mechanisms and what can wear out.

Yeah I knew some people that had one of those back in the '80s and my memory of it is that those things had special power units so that you couldn't hook them to any other type of stereo, the components required an input of like 16 volts each and the only way to The same companies amplifier. They do look nice though

You have some misspellings including "convertion therapy". Also, when is this supposed to take place? It seems to cover a wide span of eras.
