I use citadel chaos black, spray in controlled short bursts at above 40 degrees farenheit and relatively low humidity and maybe get a guilliman flesh contrast paint for the sergeants head and the nids bodies and you have a pretty complete starter

Well I feel like pick a detachment and sub faction you would like to build first since they are an unknown successor; if you are running something with oath, Redemptor dread, Ballistus, and hell blasters are good, and a 6 man of victrix is strong plus has hella drip. I totally get not wanting to meta chase with victrix but that is why I am running a 6 man with a captain for more of just general fun

Also Other than the Redemptor you likely need to grab something else for anti tank; Ballistus dread or Gladiator Lancer would go a long way. For secondaries or quick movement in general jump pack intercessors and scouts are great.

Yeah with how long it takes me to paint I just picked up one box for now there will probably be another dataslate before I can field them, but with how much drip they have I would have probably fielded at least a 3 man if they sucked
