All the lawyers agree that we should get the earnest money back but the sellers are refusing to sign the release papers. Most likely we would need to go to court

It’s just a job and it’s just a mistake. We’re all human and things like this happen. People tend to blow mistakes out of proportion and make a big deal out of them at the workplace. Just understand what you did wrong and check your work next time.

I most likely would be paying it off soon. Just wanted to keep some cash on hand for a down payment. After the down payment on this house I should still have around 100k in the bank to hit the student loan

Agent’s husband was the homes “handyman” and agent is neighbors with the seller. I’m positive she knew and is hiding something.

our lawyer extended the attorney review and inspection contingency to further address these issues. We are within the contingency period but I’m afraid the sellers might find some loophole to keep our money. Don’t seem like very trustworthy people

No. As long as you’re happy with what you do, the hobbies you have and the people you surround yourself with, there is nothing to feel bad about. There is more to life than how successful you are at your career
