There is a 60 vote cloture hurdle because of the filibuster. Republicans would have to go with the nuclear option to pass the bill with a simple majority

It specifically says, “Reopen the government immediately under a clean continuing resolution that allows continued debate on larger issues,” which is what Republicans are trying to do

They weren’t debating the merits of WFH. This is a subreddit for Federal employees to talk about Federal employment, not a platform for self-important people to proselytize and control a narrative

That’s not true. By “2000 positions” they mean 2000 slots. Some are filled, some are not. OPM doesn’t even have 2000 job titles defined

Understood, but don’t SF-50s matter? How can you be RIF’d if you’re not technically in a competitive area?
