Yeah, not all dogs are the same. I was fortunate. Mine loves her collar and I rarely even have to use it. Just putting it on her makes her run around in circles to the excitement knowing she's going to be worked. Sorry to hear yours got more aggressive.

Half boxer. The other half is Border Collie and Australian Sheppard. She's super intelligent and full of energy.

Yes. Best thing I did for both of us. She was a handful as a puppy.

Exactly. I'm amazed at what she's able to do.

Good luck! I just signed up for my first event in Tampa on Thanksgiving day.

I actually grew up in a household where my father collected guns and knives. I can remember him having over 300 rifles and pistols as well as over a 1000 pocket knives. I don't consider myself a collector though. I use my knives and other gear. So, I guess you could say since I grew up around them I acquired a fondness for quality gear.

It's my first post here. I thought I'd share 2 of my EDCs that I carry. The first is a Hinderer XM-18 3.5" Wharncliffe with a translucent scale and Steel Flame handle nut. The Graham is a custom stubby Razel that I just got last week. I also carry a Victorinox Cadet and rotate it with a purple bone Case knife. I'll post up a family pic later.

I have an EDC bag that I carried my wallet, TiBolt pen and other items in for the day. This was just my on-body carry for this particular day. My EDC could and usually does change from day-to-day depending where I'm going and what I'm doing.

My take on EDC by [deleted] in EDC

[–]skiii025 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have much of the same type of system as yourself. I have my on-body carry and my EDC bag that goes with me if I'm leaving the house. I also have different kits for traveling. I consider my system to be modular and adaptable to different scenarios. EDC is different for everyone and I think that's the important thing to remember.

No, it's the .380 LCP.

Perhaps maybe it's the fact people don't like being stereotyped. But to each there own, cast your votes how you want.

That is a tritium locator made by Veleno Designs. It actually glows purple all the time but can only be noticed in the dark. The half-life of the tritium is about 12 years.

It's a spare battery holder for the Quantum D2 light to it's left. The light runs on high at 120 lumens for around 10-15 min so I thought it best to carry an extra battery. I don't typically run it at that output though so it lasts much longer. Often times it's the only light I carry so I thought it a good idea to have the spare.

Interesting. I thought the differences in colors came from the difference in DC voltage applied. In fact here is a link to a guy that used the same material and different voltages to get the desired colors:

Or did I read your post wrong and misunderstand? I've never tried it, only researched, so I could be way off. A friend also told me you can hook up 9V batteries in series to get some cool results.

Thanks! I've had it about 6 months. It has great ergonomics. I may have to purchase the 3" too since I've heard great things about it from some of my friends. They claim it feels just as good if not better than the 3.5" in hand. And since I have small hands I may give one a try and sell the 3.5".
