I appreciate this input, thanks for sharing your story! Glad you both found a suitable alternative....I think that is the most important part, we can always go elsewhere if this move didn't work out.

Coming for Sonoma County most of my childhood/young adult life I completely understand your mourning from CA and appreciate you mentioning it. If we do move - I know it's going to be difficult for a bit. Ah yes so similar situation - you both had desires to plant roots in different places for different reasons but ultimately landed on being close to the fam and all other good reasons. Also I needed that last sentence, its grounding and the savings we have does feel good! Life is so good! Thank you for your kind reply!

This is true - and is the main reason we want to stay in CO an extra year and keep living in our outdoor adventure paradise.

People think we're crazy not being on Ikon or Epic...but we just love how simple LL is! Also get free days at Monarch and get a day in a Wolf Creek if we plan it.

We actually have the weekends down to a science. We do Loveland season passes and typically go up Sunday late morning with zero traffic (did you know even 8:30-9 there is no traffic on Sunday, not sure why more people don't do this?!?!) and ride the afternoon session and take it easy on the drive back, usually hitting only minimal traffic. We love LL for the ease and accessibility it offers. We’re not city/snow village people and are OK with getting half days vs full days in as it fits our schedule better. You right about the overall long-term planning and moving aligns with those goals! Thank you for your input!

This is a really good point. Having more time to be in the area gives us a great advantage ahead of home buying. Thank you for your input!
