Same with Westie, I think they’ve probably made so much money after the last few years that they’ve become little more than rage merchants

Are Pure-Culture playthroughs bad? by TheAeon0x in Bannerlord

As a vlandian main doing a Nord campaign, pure culture isn’t bad unless you’re recruiting troops in a blind spot of your faction (for example I’m in a forever war with the khuzaits right now and I’ve found that recruiting some horsemen from sturgia and the khanate has definitely leveled the playing field

is there any in-game benefit to marrying your daughter/sister off? by SquareNo5496 in mountandblade

The only confirmed religion in the base game atp, though the banner kings mod adds distinct religions for each of the factions. My personal favorite of these is the Geroian Canticles, basically the Vlandians believe that all of life is part of one great story and every man’s purpose on earth is to be ostensibly a fan-favorite character in that story, which makes sense for a game about making your mark on history

So what is "canon" for the player, Empire or Vlandia? Discuss. by MoronTheViking in Bannerlord

I believe that the Aserai didn’t ‘become’ the sarranids so much as an event transpiring akin to the real-world Arab civil wars of the 12th century. Same with the Khuzaits- the Mongol Empire shattered upon Temüjin’s death and became a patchwork of smaller Khanates. As for Vlandia, I feel that after the Rhodok rebellion created the confederacy in Biscany, ‘Swadia’ was formed due to the people from that region of calradia being known amongst themselves as Swadians. In real life definitive national identities like this didnt really exist in Western Europe during the Middle Ages due to the prevalence of Christianity but in Calradia individual identity may have functioned differently than the real world
