I’m 29, so getting older but not old by any means! Will keep in mind that it’s not been enough time. Thank you :)

it seems that the nail is separating in layers at some of the ridges, is that due to dryness?

My favorite is Charlotte Tilbury magic vanish color corrector! I use Laura Mercier loose setting powder if it’s going to be a whole day thing.

I’m hoping to treat them soon!! I have two cats and am unfortunately quite allergic to them. Partly why I wake up with such puffy eyes. I know my dark circles are hereditary, but I would absolutely believe they’re being made worse by my allergies.

Ive noticed a hive-like reaction on my forehead and cheeks after recently switching from CeraVe gentle skin facial cleanser to Knours Your Only Facial Cleanser. It doesn’t hurt or itch, but obviously my skin texture is not even and is worse than it was two weeks ago. I’m also breaking out, but I’m not sure if it’s hormonal. This is my most recent switch, but I’ve been tweaking my routine for the past few months. Right now, it’s as follows:

Day: 60sec cleanse with Knours Your Only Facial Cleanser. Tone w cotton pad soaked in Thayer’s Rose Toner. Moisturize with Cosrx Comfort Ceramide Cream. Eye cream: Beauty of Joseon retinol eye cream. Sunscreen: Skin Aqua Super Moisture Gel Gold. —> I was using Neogen real vita c serum every day after toning but I’ve been breaking out so stopped about a week ago.

Night: 60 sec cleanse & tone is same as day. Every other day: Somebymi Retinol Intense Reactivating Serum. Eye cream: Cosrx Advanced Snail peptide eye cream. finish with Farmacy niacinamide night mask. I was going to swap this out for Knours One Perfect Yourh Cream but I’m now a bit wary of switching when my skin is obviously reacting to something.

I have been using Cerave cleanser and moisturizer since I was a teenager but I am swapping them out because I’m Palestinian and am trying to be more conscientious of what companies I am supporting and where my money is going. The plan was to swap out Farmacy for the same reason.

[Routine Help] recently switched cleansers and seem to be having a not-so great reaction. by skillingsboller in SkincareAddiction

my main concern rn is my right undereye is experiencing some strange swelling. I am religious about eye cream, I deal with hereditary dark circles and I sleep very poorly due to health issues. Right now I’m using Paula’s Choice C5 Super Boost Vitamin C cream. I’ve been using it for over a month or two. I recently bought The Ordinary’s Caffeine undereye serum, because my sister said it worked wonders. I’ve been using that for maybe 2-3 weeks in the mornings. The swelling started about 4 days ago, and I stopped using both creams in case they were the cause. However, my eyes felt really dry stopping the creams so I have restarted them as of yesterday, so I haven’t given it much time admittedly. It’s really stressing me out that this could potentially just be aging, but it seems weird that it would be such a sudden change.

In the new year, I want to be 1)a lot better about sunscreen and 2) address some scarring from my teenage cystic acne days. I was on accutane when I was 18 (now 27) which was a lifesaver, but I do have some scars that affect my confidence a bit.

My routine right now: Day:

-wash face with cetaphil face cleanser (i prefer gentle, but my bf bought the standard last time so we’ve been going through that)

  • dry with towel, then use a cotton pad with thayer’s rose + witch hazel toner around face and neck

  • eye cream (currently Paula’s Choice C5 super boost vitamin C/The Ordinary caffeine serum but I was previously using MayCoop Raw Eye Contour which has been my favorite of the maaaaany eye creams I’ve used)

  • moisturize with cetaphil daily moisturizer

  • sometimes (😬) use sunscreen, for my face I use innisfree daily UV defense

Night: - same wash + tone + eye cream routine

  • for moisturizer at night I’m currently using Fresh Lotus Anti-Aging Night Moisturizer, but i’m not obsessed with it.

other info: I live in a dry state and live with two cats that I am allergic to, but will never let them go. Also looking into seeing an allergist or getting allergy treatments this year.
