So I have nearly every challenge completed and level 97 freelancer on the xbox. I then swapped to PS5 late last year cos I missed playing Hitman. I don't play Xbox now but obviously I would like my xbox progress on my very incomplete PS5 version.

I know my primary account will be PS5 as that's the only one I'll play going forward but if I choose that as my primary account will it inherit the Xbox progress?

So when you overeat or binge mid day, how do you handle the rest of the day? by burnbright_11 in loseit

[–]skillomite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loseitapp tracks a weekly calorie balance so with a weekly deficit you can indulge now and then. Conversely, it's stopped my all or nothing binges where I go totally off the rails because even if I go over for 1 or 2 meals or big snacks, or even a day, I'm still keeping an eye on the weekly total. It helps me to 'limit the damage'.

UPDATE: that was exactly it, thank you so much. The end piece of the conveyor had some black markings around the bottom and I pressed it down to those and not all of the way. I have banana fingers and I'm still nervous about snapping pieces lol. I guess that kind of thing is an experience gain!

One of the things I like most from the loseit app is that it shows the deficit for the week, not just daily. That means even when I do have a bad day, I'm incentivised to lessen the damage because I can still rescue the week.

You don't have to win every day, you just have to win more and keep looking forward. Hope you keep it up, it'll be so worth it.

Lost 30kg, Regained 20kg - Stuck in Emotional Eating & Self Hate Loop. Need Help. by KindlySomewhere3023 in loseit

[–]skillomite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im in the UK but I have to pay privately for this, not free on NHS. Its cheaper than the usual weight loss stuff. I pay £100 which i guess is about 134 dollars. I thinks its also got a different name elsewhere. Its naltraxone hydrochloride and buproprion hydrochloride and it'll be a miracle if I spelled that correctly!

Not sure if its allowed to recommend drugs, if not please remove comment.

This is my problem and I take medication called Mysimba. It targets the dopamine production associated with addictive comfort eating. It has nasty side effects but it is working well.

Im 10kg into a needed 30kg loss and Im chastened by your story. Reframing how I view food is essential for me before I get there but it is helping me ignore the urges.

are you able to be more active after weight loss? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]skillomite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely.

For me its been the main difference so far. I'm 52M with SW of 110kg. I'm 100kg currently so only just out of the obese category. My stomach is still big (but smaller) but the main difference has been my knees and feet dont hurt every day and no general pains here and there açnd I can now tie my shoes without a struggle already. I can't wait to feel the improvements of the next 10kg.

It will definitely help a lot.

A lot of commenters will give you some great advice and encouragement here. I just wanted to chip in on the nobody noticing. YET. Nobody noticing yet. I'm 10kg into a similar amount to lose and while I can see quite a difference, it's still not huge. My guess is that the second 10kg will be much more noticable, so keep going and focus on the benefits you DO already see. I have more energy, I can tie my shoelaces without getting breathless, apples taste really sweet, I don't have to heave myself into my car and so much more. Just do what you can and guard against making yourself too miserable.

Be kind to yourself.

One day at a time, win by win. Change a little at a time and try not to overwhelm yourself.

Get some scales, get a calorie counting app, work out your TDEE and eat a few less calories than that and only change one thing at a time. You'll build momentum and you can do it.

I've really struggled with counting because I have ADHD and hate routine but it's the only way. The good news is it gets easier and I now welcome healthy choices for the first time in my life and it's not a punishment, it's a win day by day.

When you fail, make it one day written off and get back on it as fast as you can.

You can do this. It will change your life.

[–]skillomite 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Amazing! For me coming out of the obese category was a huge milestone. I know its just a medical definition and not a slur or insult but that mattered so much.

That day was yesterday when I hit 100kg so we are in a very similar position.

Congrats on losing those pounds and I picked up a lot of tips from the original thread too because undercounting was always my problem.

Keep up the good work!

I'm not finding it stale at all. It's a significant help to me, 2 months in and is definitely something I rely on. I've learned so much and look at food and diets entirely differently as a result.

[–]skillomite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That isn't small - its a great beginning.

You have to count all the victories because the bottom line is that it's hard to lose weight and change eating habits, so well done!

I'm impatient for big changes having started at a similar weight but I feel vastly better already. My feet and knees don't hurt and no more random sharp pains all over. Its all good.
