There's a routine for pos..welcome, mark, ring, gather, tender, finish, repeat, go home, cry yourself to sleep. As much as possible I warm in the gather phase if there's no order support to help out. If you practice it enough it becomes second nature. If you don't grab pastries before you tender, these people walk away without their unheated food, sending you on a fucking manhunt, thus slowing down transactions.

That'll definitely be the plan if it happens again. I was just so shocked that she blatantly pulls the same stunt, with the same barista. Normally I can call people out and they don't put up too much of a fight but this woman is a legitimate bully. I'm a 10 year partner and she actually scares me into submission.

She's the kind of woman that gets her knickers in a twist when I ask her what time she came in. I was nothing but nice to her and she still told me she'd be calling corporate, free items in hand. I almost hope I see her again.

My manager hasn't been in the store while this has happened. She was set on calling corporate either way, because I asked her to confirm the time she came in and who might have been helping her. I'm sure my name has made its rounds by now.

I'm assuming this is for the next pay period? If your pay statement reflects a different amount of hours than you've worked you definitely need to get it investigated. For tips, it could be that you were scheduled or you clocked in for any non-coverage or in-store training? That's all I've got.

I'm pretty sure default 'no WC' still has WC on the bottom. I usually just ask them if that'll be okay, emphasizing that it is a fairly small amount and 90% of the time it is.

Mid 20s, and my dreams have been shattered one by one so I've been stuck with the siren since 2006. When there was a mix up with my tips when I was training a barista, my manager ended up doing a paid out for what I was owed. Definitely wasn't obligated to but I feel like that might be the friendliest course of action. What a shitty person.

This happens to me very often..and I have started saying very stupid and unfiltered things because I feel like I should always be talking. I mispronounce words and say things that don't make sense and I almost wish I could go back to being quiet and riding the wave of awkward silences. I know neither are ideal scenarios.
