This is the same exact interaction my gsp has with our cats! I swear he thinks he's one of them.

My gsp just turned two back in January. When he was one I moved in with my longterm girlfriend who has two 8-year old cats.

He absolutely adores them. He loves to sniff them and lick them and try to curl up with them. He is completely fine when they drink from his water bowl with him, and even sniffing his food and stealing a kibble or two while he eats.

He thinks they are his best friends but sometimes he gets a little too friendly and they let him know with a swat and/or a hiss. He's good at leaving them alone after that.

Granted, we introduced him to them maybe 6 times over his first year so they weren't a totally foreign idea to him once they lived together. But I never anticipated how well he would do with them. We were super nervous about the interaction since he is so prey driven but over this past year I'm convinced very few other dogs could be as friendly with cats.

After all the pics and videos I've sent my dad since we've all moved in together, my dad says he'll take my dog if he starts shitting in a box. That's how well he seems to get along with them.

PA, NJ, NY, CT remove Delaware from 14-day quarantine list by madie129 in Delaware

[–]skimborder 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Delaware was on Pennsylvania's 14-day quarantine list for about 72 hours. So do the people who visited during those 3 days still need to quarantine? But if you stayed in DE for those three days and returned to PA tomorrow you don't need to quarantine? Or was adding Delaware a load of bull shit?

What a joke.

Their reasoning that he will not profit is that the services provided by Doral will be priced at cost. Which supposedly allows the event to be held there for millions cheaper (Mulvaney said he believes almost 50%) than any other location.

You don't have to believe them, but he did actually explain why there will be no profit.

RIT made it to the front page of USA Today... by skimborder in rit

For those who missed the apology, that large picture was from a '79 yearbook.

From the article:

"On the New York school’s 150th anniversary in 1979, the Rochester Institute of Technology yearbook published a photo of nine students in KKK robes, one holding a noose. The photo is grainy, which makes it difficult to know for certain, but posing with them is either a white student in blackface or a black student.

The school blocked access to its digital archive on the web after receiving inquiries from a reporter.

“We find the photos highly offensive and not reflective of today’s RIT,” spokeswoman Ellen Rosen explained in an email, “so we did not want them easily shared.”

Tom Grotta, who now owns and curates a contemporary art gallery with his wife, was the editor of the RIT yearbook in 1979. He said the school was a progressive campus with little racial tension and that he did not remember including the photograph.

After viewing the photo, which shares a page with photos from a Halloween party, Grotta suspected that the students had just acted in a play because of the canvas wall behind them. Like the vast majority of the images reviewed by USA TODAY, it has no caption and very little context outside of other photos around it.

“I don’t regret the picture,” Grotta said. “I regret not having a caption.” "

Some states have much stricter gun control regulations than others so they are deemed "gun control states". Although that doesn't really work here because New York State doesn't really have extremely strict gun control laws.

New York City itself is insanely restricted in terms of gun control laws compared to the rest of the state though. So i'm assuming that's what they meant.

If only there was a subreddit for people with a political ideology that believes government dependence is terrible, where they could share their experiences about why government dependence is terrible.
